/me rubs the sleep out of my eyes wondering how this friendly, helpful thread got derailed while I was sleeping, especially since when I last left, I said the other owner would try and work it out with me.

Yep Elora. This often happens ... a nice thread gets grabbed by a few negative people and becomes a farce. Morning! Where's our coffee? :)

As to openly saying that you'd deliberately build with Z flicker, that's tantamount to SL treason on the aesthetic.

I deliberately built with z-flicker. It makes a rather nice effect.

Look at the crypt door to the left of the front steps. You'll have to jump the fence though. I locked the gate.

So are nuclear weapons - but that power can be harnessed to power a city as well.

And yet nuclear weapons have been responsible for the longest period of (relative) peace the world has ever known. Go figure.

/me ponders how we've gone from z-fighting to nuclear weapons.

Same as from banlines being Linden provided to saying you could AR someone for being American I guess.

There's derail and ... "huh?". LOL

Not the ban line thing again.

Again with the ban lines are ugly and ban lines bite and ban lines are spooky theme?

Enough with the whining about ban lines. If they're up and they keep you out then obviously you don't belong and you're not wanted there, plain and simple. Then you're going to be shameless enough to ask your neighbor to put you on their access list? You can't be serious.

You're actually going to ask to be inserted in someones elses place, most likely someone you don't even know to begin with so the big bad mean ban lines don't scare you?

Have you no shame?

You are mistaken to assume that everyone who has ban lines turned on really wants to exclude everyone else from their land.

Many land owners don't realize they have ban lines on, they either forget they turned them on once or don't realize they are on since they can't see them. They frequently will turn them off if asked nicely. Its surprising then number of stores I have found that have ban lines on and the owners did not realize it. When I let one owner know about it she responded "Well that explains my poor sales!"

Also, even if they do want them on to discourage greifers or intruders, they often will add neighbors to the access list in order to be neighborly and to minimize the inconvenience to them.

It is not always a black and white situation. Yeah for diplomacy, it often works better then getting offensive about it. Getting offfensive rarely improves the situation for anyone.
