Is it a real chance that OP can get adopted at such an event?
Only posthumously, apparently.

Pep (So who's volunteering to die; oh, that might be me, apparently. )

I think you will skate by with a horsewhipping, at worst.

It seems that nearly EVERYONE is connected to the Shang family. Except maybe me. Darn it.

I mean, we have Jig, and
scylla, and Deira and Laurin by some sort of adoptive process. And that unnumbered brood of half-Neko kits in the Launay family.

/me starts digging through dusty genealogical tomes in the NCI Caledon Library, seeking Clues To Her Past...

[Edited to fix stupid name mixup. Sheesh. I need a program.]

I think not. Some of us have a much STRONGER claim . . .

Yes, if the Procurator Fiscal can come. He can deal with the legalities.

All too real. Though if she were wise, she might wish to be a bit more choosy!

Tis best to be careful about associations at Oxbridge, lest ye get involved with the wrong sort and all their familial nonsense and debauchery!

* * * * *

Miss Laurin, it's not much matter to get a title for you ~ I would propose this. All sisters can title *each other*, but not themselves. Fair?

As for Pep, well, we can worry about the fate of scoundrels after a good pub crawl, er, I mean Important Land Business away from all this female familial bickering. I happen to know a few good places for a pint, full of rather delightful catgirls that would serve as a rather pleasant place to review the books...

Nothing interesting here . . .

Pep ( . . . please move along.)

ROFLMAO

I just hope you remember this the next time you feel the need to correct someone.

A gentleman indeed. Or perhaps the first smelling salts bill has arrived and this will prove less costly in the long term ;)

Fair, but potentially problematic. Someone will need to announce them by those very titles, and I have a suspicion this is fraught with potential for disaster. You have noticed Jig's colorful and creative vocabulary? And with Scylla's terseness, Jig is bound to be disappointed, but I defer to your judgment and leave it to the young women to decide.

I can just imagine their introduction to society though...thump.

And don't forget Deira, she has toiled ceaselessly!

I am quite happy to adjourn that matter to your care, and only hope there won't be a subsequent rash of young kits skittering underfoot

Uhhhhh . . .

May I raise an objection to this manner of proceeding? Not that Jig wouldn't attempt to do a good job at this, but I'm not sure that I wish to go down to posterity as "Teh Baronnnees of . . . . " whatever. :(

I have dismissed you and your inadequacies from my memory already.

No you may not.

I'm certain that the titles that all of you arrange for each other will be quite fitting, and bring a bit of either a) love or b) justice between all of you.

I shall retain veto powers, however, and shall grant same to Deira.

Edit: I think I'm beginning to understand the roots of feminism a bit more clearly. Save for a wee bit of land, who would give a flying fig what I think? Sort of like that Simon Cowell fellow... would anyone really care what that fellow thought of anything if they met him on the street?

You wouldn't meet him on the street.

Uh oh, the other loafer has truly dropped now, hasn't it? Is there any wonder I tried to keep all of this out of the public eye?

You see how they take it out of you and wear you down? It all makes me admire Deira that much more.

And that Simon Cowell and Louie Walsh losing my dvds. I certainly do not care what either of them think being so sloppy with borrowed items.

Well, that just does it then!

Back to being an annoying, outspoken, a... associate of the status quo!

I think I'm onto your game now, Pep...

I didn't ask you to recall me, I asked that you recall the fact you have made a mistake next time you feel the need to correct someone else.

Seems you can dish it out but not take it.

I don't know about that, but I am pretty sure that Jig is, in rl, a name we'd probably all know. A celebrity, possibly an entertainer. Just my take on it. I could be wrong but I doubt it. :)

Ooh! Ooh! Better yet, let US choose titles for them! After all, we all came up with better names for the Adult Continent than that lame "Zindra" nonsense.

Scylla Rhiadra - Baroness Scylla deShang, Keeper of the Locket O'Doom.

Jig Chippewa - Baroness Jaeglynn Chepplethwaite deShang, Patroness of the Finer Arts.

Deira Llanfair - Lady Patience Llanfair

Laurin Sorbet - Lady Laurin Quandary

Pserendipity Daniels - Court Jester.

:p

Except that Jig's should be "Protectress of the Exposed Nipple."

(And, as you can see, THIS is why Jig and I are not to be trusted providing each other with an appropriate title!)

Somebody like that, yeah. Except for she's working her way through Zindra, trying to do her part for Des' random acts of kindness, taking kindness to a whole level which I'm pretty sure he didn't think of when he made his thread, but hey, kindness is kindness, all in the minds of the err....beholder, eh.

Status Quo? My taste in music is considerably better than that!

Pep (And even more so than Simon Cowell's as well.)
