From: Toy LaFollette omg we're being saved again!!! No one is saving YOU!!!! It`s up to you to save yourself. The Zeitgeist Movement does not have any leaders to tell you how. We exchange ideas and motivate each other. You`ll be surprised how many people are watching the ZG movies and then deciding to join the movement. The reason IMO, is because they know that there is no leader. And many thousands of people are disgusted with their current leaders. We are born into debt and struggle all of our lives to pay off this debt, not realising that as long as we continue the way we are, we will be in debt forever as long as money is seen to be the ONLY way to live. Watch the movies and decide for yourself.

From: Nonconformist TopHat But to have any effect, I suppose I would have to be logged into SL all day long in the hope that people would pass by and click on my profile. Well, first of all, this is not the case. If you set up a small booth in a mall, or space (I'd look up "Etopia" - they're a very idealistic group (and nice, to boot!)) - and see if they have any kiosks available for a minimal cost to rent - you can permanently display information on your cause. Passersby can click on objects you have stored to get notecards containing information, web links, etc. They can click on YOUR profile at any time, regardless of your online status. With a permanent presence, you never know how many people might see your stuff. Once you set up, you can get a little fancier by adding programs (aka 'scripts') that will tell you just how MANY people are clicking on your stuff.

But It`s easier said than done in my case. I`m not that good with SL and can`t seem to get off the island. It`ll come eventually though with the help of people like yourself and this forum. I think I will hang around and see what other advice comes my way while trying to get to grips with it. But I`m also looking into getting a GOOD software developer to create an educational program specifically for the Zeitgeist Movement. Our Venus Project is going to require many such people. It will, after all, be computers that ensure the city and indeed the worlds resources, are kept in order. There are too many people joining the Movement now, that we are beyond the point of no return. The software developers, engineers, architects, inventors and all the rest of them are already amongst us and waiting for the right time to show themselves. But in the meantime, I`ve come up with an idea which I am trying to get off the ground in the hope that someone with a vast amount of software knowledge will come forward and offer to take my idea to the next level. At a small cost, I might add. For free if possible.

not for nothing. but hadnt we heard and watched what happens to people who "form groups?". Let me recap a few. A. We all drink cyanide laced kool-aid and die....for nothing. B. We all join a group out in the middle of the dessert and eventually our leader pulls a "one flew over the kuku nest" thing and kills himself, others and then the US military steps in (a group, yes) and destroys and bombards the place. C. We all wear nike shoes and eat cynanide pills and when we die our souls "beam me up scotty" to the asteroid that was sent not only to warn us of the end of the world, but also to pick a select few up. Maybe going to the planet of the apes to have the best banana splits this side of the galaxy? yes, yes I am So now let me go back to reading the story about how a snake told a girl to eat a pear, and because of that all of mankind is doomed. First, let me split the ocean to get to the library. yes, yes I am

For your information, 100`s of 1000`s of people are turning to a self sustained and off grid way of life every day. You don`t have to over through anyone. You just get out of the system. It sounds like you`re another one who`s been playing games for so long, I suspect. No need to apologise for your lack of understanding of the Zeitgeist Movement. I`m sorry there is no easy and short way to explain.

From: Nonconformist TopHat This thread is mine. There has been a coup. This netnews group has been taken over. While you slept, thousands of ruthless information soldiers assaulted the network and captured the previous, now powerless and forgotten, autocrats. I am now in power. This newsgroup is strong, for I am in control and I am strong. No more will this newsgroup be tainted by whining sops seeking a brief flicker of fame by feigning wisdom of sacred rituals. The submitters of such subversive articles shall be dealt with justly and efficiently. Of course, as after any takeover, there must be adjustments made. The following puppets of the old regime are representative of those who will not be contributing to the newsgroup henceforth: brunix!jah ittvax!neiman research!rob tekcad!shauns brunix!rb iwsl2!jgpo sdccsu3!iz328 tekid!kevenb brunix!thf ixlpc!mhauck sdchema!bam wivax!taylor gi!frank microsof!gordonl sri-unix!billw yale-com!hickmott hplabsb!soreff mprvaxa!shinbro sytek!blk zinfandel!nyles ihuxe!ryl nmtvax!greg tekcad!keithl I do not enjoy violence, but I have ways of maintaining control. net.suicide is dead! Long live net.suicide!

Noncomformist....you wrote a pretty detailed and thoughtful introduction. Thank you for the info....I may read up on that. I would welcome you to the forum....but I'm not exactly on the welcoming committee Keep plugging away with your mission. This probably isn't the best place to express a "nonconformist" opinion if acceptance is important to you. Do be careful not to respond in the same manner that you were responded to....don't fall for that.....you shouldn't have to defend yourself for expressing your personal beliefs.....once you start responding negatively....that becomes detrimental to what your original good intention was. I didn't check your profile....but make sure you have some of this information on it....and people will "find" you. Great way to connect with the like-minded. Keep chatting with everyone you meet inworld in SL....keep your eye out for similar groups to join....and you'll make some great connections that will lead you on your path.
