From: Morwen Bunin There was this one question.... darn, what was it? I know the answer though! It was 42.
Guess, I am in trouble now. I am giving answers instead of question....
Morwen. I will interprest your last statement as a question, and there fore you are not in trouble. $2 is not the question. Buy some land build a house and then see if you find 42 helpful.

From: Solstice Asturias Where do you find a list of all mainland sims names and Island names? You don't, anymore. Though I am sure if you really needed it, and asked in the right way, with proper economic consideration, LL might be able to generate it, or someone else would do it in world. Vbasically the SL interface now demands that you know either where you are going, or what your are looking for. I postualte if you don't know the answers to either of these two questions, then you really don't need such a list to begin with.

From: Winter Phoenix and lets add to that list, what class server these territories reside upon. This is a hardware question. LL might provide the answer, and it might be a trade secret.

From: Dnate Mars And which ones are on the same server? Um, despite lag issues, one sim is one server, no matter what the evidence to the contrary.

From: Jake Reitveld This is a hardware question. LL might provide the answer, and it might be a trade secret. It used to be possible to find out servers class by looking it's URL. LL changed their naming convention about 6 months or so ago and removed the class info. IIRC, somebody at a THM a few months back asked about this and LL seemed surprised that anybody was using this info. I don't think they're trying to keep class info secret - they just haven't gotten around to setting up a way for us to figure it out again. There are LSL functions to get various pieces of server info - I expect they will eventually add class info to one of these.

From: John Horner Kings and Emperors usually mean more taxation on their subjects as Governments always expand ahead of actual need, in which case I would rather not have another one if you don't mind no disrespect intended. I have enough to put up with as it is without more new rulers. - Your seditious and treasonous speech as heen noted. You will be spanked and then shot at dawn. By Imperial decree Jake. P.s. Take his land to secure his taxes too.

Dear Emperor Jake:

Do you have any concubines in your palace and when they don't speak to you in the form of a question do you whip them mercilessly with a flexi prim whip while they cower behind their hand fans?

Jake.
P.s. Take his land to secure his taxes too. Pardon my innocence here but what dawn? (There is a question) We all have absolute command over the daylight from an individual viewpoint as we can make it day, night, dawn, or sunset. In addition two other classes of Rulers (Lindens and Sim Owners) can dictate their rule so others can experiance day, dawn or night if they so choose, or not as the case might be. Regards from a helpful John towards a misinformed King - (What changes)

Regards from a helpful John towards a misinformed King - (What changes) I am not a king. I am an Emporer. And I am not misinformed. You will be shot at any dawn that is convenient. However, a good poiint is raised. We can force the sun to be in a number of modes in SL via the tool bar. this is a handy trick, because as long as John forces the sun in every sim he is in, then he will never be caught at dawn. This is also a good way to see what all that gothwear looks like at noon. this is important to anyone wanting to be a concubine of the emporer as I do not pick the flowers of my court in a dark cave.

Can I use Lindens to pay my monthly LL land tier? If so, can you set it to auto?
Oh yeah...Can I spank sometimes too? I'm happy to step aside for Colette, but if her little hand gets tired... Well in a way. You can sell linden dollars on the lindex. these are then established as a credit to your account, which (unless converted) gets used first in payign for tier, etc. But ther is no way to pay your tier in world to LL for lindens directly.

Hey Jake, can you please tell me where I can find a priest-king avatar? I've looked in numerous places over a span of time nearing 2 years to no avail. That being said, keep the fun flowing — just a reminder not to let this thread get too off-topic, and please keep it relevant (if irreverant at times) to Second Life. Thanks for being excellent to one another.

From: Itazura Radio Here is a question for you:
Resident A writes a program creating bots that sweep in and buy land as soon as they go under a certain L$ per Sqm level, thereby giving themselves an advantage over the regular 'human' avatar the looks through the listings like God and Phillip Linden intended. Resident B is a real estate business owner that disapproves of this practice and creates signs that instantly send specific avatars home. He places them all over SL on all of his properties. To the list of avatars he adds all the names of Resident A's bots along with Resident A himself as well as his partners, friends, etc.
The questions is actually twofold. First should Resident A be able to use bots in this manner? Are they simply building a better mousetrap or are they cheating to make a linden buck at the expense of the general population? Second, should what Resident B is doing be considered harassing behavior? Is the second question dependent on the answer to the first? Question 1: Should, no. Its a smarmy practice that does nothing to promote the sense of fair play in the economic area. Can they? Yes. Quesstion 2. The answer is not dependent. Its your land, you are free to ban anyone from it for any reason.

Just not one that responded to the question asked, which is where such a list can be found. Also your thread does not contain a question, thus you will be spanked.

My response was to clarify your response - it was not directed at the OP. From: Jake Reitveld Also your thread does not contain a question, thus you will be spanked. My previous (2nd previous now) post contained 3, count 'em: three, questions. Do I get a pass on the spanking because I'm still up one on the post/question ratio?

From: Gaybot Foxley Do you have any concubines in your palace and when they don't speak to you in the form of a question do you whip them mercilessly with a flexi prim whip while they cower behind their hand fans? We do not maintain an imperial palace, in as much as we feel it best to wander amongst out subjects so we may better serve them as Imperator. While we recognize that flexi prim whips do exist, we remind our subject that what happens between consenting adults in mature sims is the privacy of our subjects. We do ask that in deference to our most loyal aministrators, Linden Lab, you refrain from such conduct in a PG sim. As matter of technicality, the use of a whip might not be in violation of the letter of the TOS, we do feel it might offend out loyal subjects, and there fore we ask that courtesy, and not legislation be your watch word.

My previous (2nd previous now) post contained 3, count 'em: three, questions. Do I get a pass on the spanking because I'm still up one on the post/question ratio? I understand. I was being technical. No, you do not get a free pass. Each thread must contain a question. So three questions in one thread still does not count for three threads. Nice try, but still a spanking. However your clarification was intersting, thank you.

From: Torley Linden Hey Jake, can you please tell me where I can find a priest-king avatar? I've looked in numerous places over a span of time nearing 2 years to no avail. That being said, keep the fun flowing — just a reminder not to let this thread get too off-topic, and please keep it relevant (if irreverant at times) to Second Life. Thanks for being excellent to one another. Well Torley. From reading your link it seems noone has seen a priest king in five years. Who is to say that you do not already have a priest king avatar. That being said, there are a number of places you can look, including more gorean sims with stores than can explored in a life itme. I am certain that some of these groups or sims have members with the skills to make you a priest king. It is always nice to support the creative effots of our fellow residents. And some custom work is done at reasonable rates. If course, should you want to push this further, learing to make or modify your avatr is good thing. While the process can be as limited as moving sliders, to as evaloved as sophisitcated maya texturing, there is plenty of help available. One of the powerful aspects of SL is the ability to shape and define our selves. Leanring to modify your avatr will vastly increase the possibilites you have. Torley, I have just recieved a communitcation from the Priest Kings of UR, they advise that if they wanted you to have a priest king avatar they would contact you directly. They do point out that conintuing on this search might be dangerous for your health as the priest kings have agents everywhere.
