I see what you mean Annabel but then I dont feel one should have a relationship on here if they have one in RL. Call me old fashioned. If your comfortable with it fine that is all that matters

*SIGH* And, there it is. I just can't get past that, no matter how I try. I actually wish I could, but it's just not me, in the long run. It makes me feel, naive and stupid sometimes, and 'not with it' but again, there it is. Like you, I don't judge others though if it's right for them. I know several married couples (rl) who are on SL not partnered with one another and have their own, seperate SL's with different romantic SL relationships, fully out in the open in the RL. Too confusing, and I know my heart would break. Maybe because I don't rp, and it really is just me out there.

I have been away for a while and a guy I was seeing in SL before I left said that he would be faithfull to me while I was away but that he wouldn't make any promises for his alt.

Annabel, are you dating exclusively or married in RL?

I explained in my other threads that I am married to a really jealous guy that is away a lot and I get bored. Honestly the life of 'Footballers Wives' is nothing like as exciting as the TV.

Even if your SL partner tells you something, you can't know for sure that it's true.

You can't tell for sure if they are married in RL
You can't even tell for sure what gender they are in RL
You don't know for sure what they are doing when you're not logged on
You don't know for sure what they are doing with an alt

What you CAN know for sure is how they treat *you*. My (very wise) partner calls this "emotional fidelity".

Do they keep their promises to you? If they say they'll meet you at a certain time/place, can you rely on them? And if they can't make it, do they call you and re-schedule? Are they consistent, and open, and honest?

I don't care if my partner is, in RL, someone other than what he or she appears. I don't care if they have a half dozen alts and other partners scattered all over the grid. If they're there for me, if they show that they care...that's "emotional fidelity", and it's all I have to go on...and all I need.

Hilarious.

If I had a dollar for every time a married guy came in here and wanted to lecture me, single.....on "monogamy" and "commitment".....and a dollar for every time I laughed my ass off at how ludicrous that would be to even have the audacity to go there........

Or a dollar for every time a married woman wanted to ask me for advice on how to handle her lover messing around on her.......and how ludicrous that discussion would be......

.....well.....do the math.

From: Annabel Lectar

By the way for those of you from the forum who have been asking Annabel for dates in SL and getting no response I am using another alt in SL because people might know too much about Annabel from the forums.

That's hilarious, too. People from forum are asking you for dates? LOL

OK.....you've presented your image in forum.....it didn't work out for you.....now you've created another one to use for your advantage.......and you've got questions to discuss or judgments to make about someone else doing the exact same thing?

For Real??? Throw some more dollars at me.......lmao.

Yes, they are. I watch a lot of BBC America, when it isn't baseball season.

Every two weeks you come and start a thread about relationships. Two weeks ago you were still trying to find a nice guy, now that (apparently) you have found one you are already involved to the point where infidelity rears its suspicious head.

Ah well, have fun. I'm still looking for my boots tho.

Yay!!!!!

May I ask....do you use 2 L's to spell Faithful over there? I know you all over there spell some of the same words a bit differently than we do in US.....I try to keep up with that.....

Pardon me for veering off topic....it just kind of "jumped out" at me in the Headline.....a little "obvious"......and was just curious.....always learning......

......also didn't want our resident spell checker to come along and make mincemeat of you.....he tends to do that to the new ones....if he does show up to critique.....don't you let that bother you.....he does it to everyone. :)

complaining of being cheated on when you cheat yourself is awfully hypocritical. especially when you are a man pretending to be a woman so you can be with a man.

"Is it cheating when the man, with whom I am cheating on-line behind my real husband's back, tells me he wants to virtually cheat on me with an alt?"

This has to rate as my favorite forum questions ever.

Now 3Ring....you're going to cause some serious psychological damage to all those guys from forum asking Annabel for dates. Let's all be nice, now...you too, Annabel.....and show some empathy for all those forum guys.
