Geeze, Holo. Why be so nitpicky? Next you'll be wanting all Gorean sims to conform strictly to John Norman's universe as written.

If gor is the third sexiest, then the top two must be the Complete Works of Vogon Poetry and Real Men Don't Eat Quiche.

Top two sexIST series:

#2 - http://hradzka.livejournal.com/194753.html - OH JOHN RINGO NO!

#1 - Jack Chalker, who apparently doesn't just believe that women are better off as slaves, but that it's so good being a female sex slave that strong dominant women (and men) who are magically (or nanotechnologically) converted into gene-tailored sex slaves are so fulfilled they either refuse to convert back or angst over having BEEN converted back after the magic wears off.

He's a very good storyteller, and not EVERY Jack Chalker book has this theme, so I read several of them before I realized that at least half were the same plot with the nature of the magic switched around.

Honorable Mention goes to Jacqueline Lichtenberg's series about sexy tentacled soul vampires.

John Ringo rocks! I did like his latest "The Last Centurion" http://www.thelastcenturion.com/ better than the Ghost series.

But what isn't to like about a guy who finds a lost group of Vikings living in the mountains of Central Asia, trains them into a top notch fighting force AND has a harem of beautiful women?

Richard Laymon ought to make your list.

I thought they were a lost group of Irish. Or Celts. But they might have been Norse. I can't recall now.

I have not read "The Last Centurion." I did read the Ghost series though.

Norse with a mixture of Celts. In the books they are the remains of the Varangian Guard who take in wandering warriors to be their "king" and breeding stud. (Yes, I said breeding stud, to help renew the gene pool.)

It just confirms what I maintain about Love and Rhonda seeing what they would like to in the posts . . .

Pep ( . . . as opposed to what people have actually written.)

Ugh.

So how about some real-life women commenting on what is sexy in a novel?

Although, that assumes one is into romantic/sexy books at all. Not everyone is.

I almost said romantic fiction, but I won't make things that easy for Pep.

Why don't you wait until next Friday and ask where (or whether) the line is drawn between romantic and erotic fiction - analogous, I would suggest, to where PG becomes Mature. We'd, of course, not be able to discuss the DMZ line between Mature and Adult, ie porn.

Pep (As a sub-topic you could ask if any real men at all read the chicklit genres.)

Gor isn't supposed to be sexy.

Or have I stepped onto the set of Spinal Tap while I wasn't looking?

So, did you like the Beast better before Beauty kisses him and changes him back into a prince? :D
