I don't think that first life ages should have anything to do with relationships in SL. In SL I am partnered up with another 2004 person and the thought of being partnered to a 2007 person would take some hard thinking.
Love it!!!

I always laugh when I hear about "oh, all 22 year old are so aansgty and impatient" when the same damn thing happens to adults, they just use age as a cover half the time. I am twenty two years old, and SL allowed me to find a 40+ year old woman whom I have an intimate relationship with. Some of my age group is bad, but the same could be said of ANY age group at all, we just get the stigma of the emo idiots... so it becomes socially acceptable to generalize us. Not all of us early 20s people are idiots, and when people don't bother to give us a chance because of their own prejudices, I feel sad for them. Well said. Sometimes I think people forget they were young/er once too! It's funny to look back on those of us in the Baby Boomer generation whose motto used to be "Don't trust anyone over 30." Errr, now I can't trust myself...which is a bit of a sticky wicket. |

Well- I was approached the other day by a guy that sd Hey baby- wanna dance? Don't care how old he is- but didn't really rock my boat.. That wasn't me was it? The noob with the blue hair? God if I ever walk up to a girl and say "hey baby", right off the bat, shoot me or buy me a shot and send me home in a cab. Personally, the last gal I was with was about 10 years my senior. I have to say there was more there than in my marriage. The fact of the matter is that relationship helped my marriage. I think the maturity of this girl in this relationship offered my wife a trust that would not have worked else wise. I have met with a couple girls younger, and while I am not predispositioned to "run away" I must say that if they are under 30, I tend to be more cautious. _____________________

Age aint a big thing for me really, my main prob i think is i'm always looking at only good looking guys for partners, i'm very stereotypical in that sense i think
. The more better looking and well groomed they are the more interested i m in them. |

Grave digging now, are we? Of course it probably isn't that much different from rehashing the same old topics in a new thread every month or two.

Another "Old" Opinion
03-18-2008 18:30
Dearly Darlings,
Maneo and I have been together for way over 35 years. I like him in SL better for a few reasons: !). He dances better here 2) No old rear end 3) He still can't change his own clothes so I can dress him how ever I like 4) The cigar smoke does not smell up the house in Green 5) I still get to spend all his money I never thought of age being a requisite of a relationship...barring children or small animals of course...I adore this man for his acerbic wit, his keen eye for detail, his intellegence, kind spirit, and lastly, his unfailing love for me. If you find the right person in ANY universe don't squander it! Relish every moment and nano-byte. The people who mean the most to us do not cross our paths often. You really do have to "seize the day." There is one thing that I wish more people would think about...It's okay to drift apart. Relationships just like everything else change and evolve. Just because you don't love someone in the same way does not make them evil or bad or what ever. You must always remember if you end a relationship and you speak ill of that person it is a reflection of yourself. Why? Because you opted to have this person in your life in the first place. Just take what you learn and move on...you instictively know when the right person comes along, by never settle for any less than you deserve. I sincerely hope that all of you find that special someone...I was lucky and found mine early on. I would not trade him for any object in the universe! You all have a lovely evening! Ever Yours, Mrs. Showdog Tiger _____________________

Mrs. Showdog Tiger

Ha! I go to Texas on business and here she is on the forum!
Seriously, I'd never leave Show...she trains my hunting dogs and is the only woman who always has a cigar punch and lighter handy in her pocket book. I'm kind of used to wearing kilts here now. Boys never marry a woman who is not your intellectual equal. And no! you can't have my wife! |

Personally I don't think age makes a difference one way or the other in rl or sl be it man or woman that is the younger. Mrs. Showdog Tiger, I am close to your age and may even possible be older. Life is fun, isnt it honey!! I have a dear friend that I met in both sl then rl and he is a sweet 23 year old young man. It doesnt bother me one bit.

If they are mature enought to handle a serious relationship. Then htat is all that matters. Give it a try _____________________

Of course they are the only RL/SL/Forums couple I know about, but thats not their fault. |

So long as he's not your mum or dad in RL, it's probably fine.
