The kids go to their rooms, but they do not sit in the corner, they log onto their pc's and haunt forums. :) (or play wow)


Because Mommy spoils them by letting them have pc's in their own rooms and use them unsupervised.... :p

And when the kid comes out, after setting up a meeting at the local Denny's with a mouth breathing basement dweller who has convinced her he is Brad Pitt's stunt double, the 11 o'clock news is on, the wine bottle is empty and Mommy is passed out on the sofa and never sees her 11 year old leave the house dressed like the Covergirl for Loita Magazine.

and sadly this is sooo true

(the boys here have a PC in their room, which is right across the hall from us, and they are not allowed to close the door when on the PC, so we know what they are doing)

They are only 7 and 9, still too young to be on there without us knowing what they are doing.

(they usually just play shockwave type games) or use the paint program to draw stuff :)

edited to add

finished reading the other posts, and yep, scary part is, that draws a very realistic picture of some kids on the net

My kids have a computer in their room, too. My oldest is autistic, so the computer helps him express himself with his drawings, collages of pictures he finds on the internet, and so on.

However, the computer is running Linux, and it's nothing but a thing to SSH into their computer from where I'm sitting and check up on them.

It is clear that, in posting a thread that was LOCKED, that you are unclear as to who the proper people and what the proper channels are for a complaint.

It is ALSO clear that you are rather unaware of just how many information storage databases with information on your (FICTION, NON-EXISTENT) Avatar exist and operate within Second Life WITHOUT your consent ... and do so well within the terms of service.

Do yourself a favor and drop the dictionary AND thesaurus, explore SL a bit more ... and stop worrying over something that literally has NO impact on you other than annoying animation requests.

We're not worrying about a thing. We're simply asking for our opt-in without utilizing a backdoor opt-out "alternative". (=_=)

No, what you all are asking for is simply "opt-in".

There is no way to implement "opt-out" without retaining your preference, tied with who you are. Everything else stored with it is extraneous and unimportant.
