At some point or another I mentioned that I am prone to typos. I have a disability known as Sausage Finger Syndrome. It's quite sad, really. There is very little research out there, primarily because nobody can read the grant applications (too many typos...sad). Nevertheless, I appreciate the criticism and I will try to shoulder my cross, bear this heavy burden, get back on the horse, soldier on, and commit any number of other cliches.

Nah, it's not your fingers, it's the dreaded repeat setting on the keyboard. ALWAYS a good excuse for too many letters in the wrong plllllaces....... :D

I, on the other hand, suffer from the terrible disease known as linguistis hypercorrectis. ;)

Can anyone post on the latest news from the clubhouse build? I've just popped by and most of the actual clubhouse is missing or moved around. Rethink or SL gremlins?

p.s. Sure hope it's the former and not the latter!

Just chatting to Malachi and Imogen in world and it looks like things have just disappeared (my mistake, nothing's moved). So either a land permissions change that has returned things or an SL bug I guess. Sad but true :(

May I ask for a disclosure of the L$/tier that has been donated to the group.?

I honestly thought tis would be made public at the cut off point of 23/59 Tuesday.

There is a significant portion of the upper build missing. Other than that, every prim is in exactly the place I noticed as of 0030 game-time today. There appears no pattern to the lossage. There does not appear to have been a permissions issue. More info to come in other channels.

I don't expect the damage mitigation to be too difficult.

Not one to cast nasturtions and I hope there's an all together logical explanation .. you know .. something like the server coughed ..

.. but is there in existence some kind of entry/exit logging dubri/scripti/objecty kind of thing that might help (next time!) or are permissions already safely locked down if you get my drift?

Listen guys ......

The club house .... its not hard to get it all backup ... pretty much even easier now that Iknow you guys liked the build, As im in the UK im currently at work so theres not a lot that I can do to put it back together for another couple of hours. I doubt that it was a permissions issue as it was all set to group. The only options that really hold water are

Accidental Delete
Somebody tried to delete something else and it wnt poof

Deliberate Delete
Essentially vandalism, quite likely seeing all the furniture also went as well.

But again ..... these things DO happen and like many things ... easy to put back down again, it was built to spec so maybeI can move it back a little bit and work with Mal to landscape the surrounding areas.... the ONE thing i can gaurantee is that Club House 2 will be EVEN better ....VIVA LA CARTEL CLUB HOUSE

Ditto here. Everything I'd made/put down I copied to my inventory so no true losses. Let me know when the building and landscaping's all done and I'll pop it back down again :)

if somebody returned something it should be your lost and found folder, and if you get email notes it will list who did the returning.

Only if it's a personal item ..

If it's deeded to group the system does'nt know where to return it.

Consider it lost.

a more sober evaluation

We just went over the entire property and the only item of any signifigance that is missing is the clubhouse roof which will be replaced from inventory later today.

As it stands now, so long as you don't have a roof fetish, the club house is as before: seating, dance balls, jukebox, etc. So that which you were doing yesterday you can still do today. Chat, dance, Greedy-Greedy game, even the jetski are as available as they were before.

Permissions have been tightened in case this was the result of an "oops" that someone is too embarrassed to cop to.

If you had some things out in the garden area, flags, swings, carousel, etc. I may have returned them during our streamcourse cutting. I should have been more diligent about sending IMs; sorry.

Summary: not a big deal; apologies if anyone was troubled by the first notice.

i dont see how this could have been accidental.
either you return ALL group deeded items, or you select them manually. as it is the only group deed items left are trees, a sailboat, and the clockwork ball.
the other option is that this was a grid glitch.

At this stage they were just built under group and not yet deeded. The club house itself was linked in three parts, with the roof being one of those parts. I really cant see the grid deletin JUST the roof and nothing else.
As I said i will asses whats needed in about 2 -3 hours after i get home from work. But it should all be good and will all be status quo without too much a dither.

Is it possible that a small portion of the roof overhung a neighbour? I've had that happen, and when the neighbour returned the one or two prims, the whole linked section got returned.

I did check out the build last night, and I'm very impressed! So much has happened so quickly! It will be great place to hang out.

I will ask Trout and Oryx to give us a tier and $L balance update. I don't know the exact figures, but thanks to everyone's generosity and a few large tier benefactors, we have the tier buffer we need and a good amount of $L in reserve too.

If you donated tier and need it back, please give Oryx as much notice as possible so we can make arrangements and don't end up having to pay land use fees to LL.

Marty, sorry to hear about the roof. It was too good for this world. Perhaps it's gone to a better place... :)
