Strange person in my house

If you've gone thru' the hassle and garbage I been thru' you'd understand why I am the way I am when it comes to my land. I have over 40 people banned from my place in a very short period and this doesn't count the many others I didn't ban.

Back then I was nice about it but after a while I get fed up especially when the owner of the gay mall on my sim decides to use under-handed tactics to get me to either sell or give up my land to him. And no way would I ever let anyone bully me into doing anything I don't want to do. The thing is just about everyone I have ejected and banned is associated with this damn mall. Besides, I don't have the time or the inclination is ask where they're from, I consider all intruders alike.

Or even if they DON'T actually bother you...apparently a shop owner somewhere decided to eject someone for being in Busy mode, and then banned and muted her for questioning it.

Seems last night was a wierd one for SL, what with the Kenny blob, another thread talking about an avi crashing sims, and me being attacked by - and I am not making this up - 9 volt Duracell Coppertop batteries with numerous lightning bolts flashing from them (SL accepting product placement now)? I was frozen in place, only being able to turn left or right. Crashed twice and the sim went down twice and kept me logged off for a few minutes each. I actually think it was being restarted purposely to clear the griefers. Questions: would having a security orb have helped and, would having visitors' scripts turned off have helped. I was also having trouble TP'ing anywhere. Thanks for suggestions.

It works fine on privatly owned land, does not work on group owned land.

Oh I don't want to orbit or bother anyone,I just keep hearing about it. So thought I would ask.

The day will arrive very quickly that some will report you for orbitting... your land or not. I know I would fill an report against you.

And if you don't want to hear it or it. That will happen as soon you orbit someone who kniows it illegal.

Piffle. It has nothing to do with compassion. He's just being territorial and using the idea that he's been greifed as an excuse to weild a little brutal power over hapless passerby.

I mean really, it's SL, virtual world. It's not like life and property were under threat by these roving bands of ruffians.

It's easy enough to kindly let folks know they've stayed from land open to visitors and even to eject them from your land without resorting to such vulgar methods.

Although, I don't need nor will I apologize for what i do when intruders or should I say, "..helpless passerbys.." come uninvited on to my land. My land, my rules. Period.

So you're saying I should let these "visitors" just come right in whenever they feel like it? Why? Because it's the right thing to do? Or maybe I should stop what I'm doing to kindly and slowly explain to them that they should leave? All 60 odd times this has happened? Why? Because it's the right thing to do? Yeah, right! If you came over, I'd eject you too. I'm not showing favortism, everyone goes. I don't know you, therefore I assume you're associated with the mall. I don't have time to stop to ask if you're with them or not nor will I check.

I'm also not looking for approval from anyone nor do I care what I'm percieved as. I'm not about to bend over so others who have no freaking business being on my property can constantly come in uninvited and most of all UNWANTED. I'm not looking for new friends and I could care less that you want to see my place. It's not an amusement park.

I also have a sign which you have to either be dumb, blind or stupid not to see which says stay out or face ejection. I don't do things I'm expected to do or say, that's not me. I do and say what I think, what I feel and what I want. In this case, if you come in, you're flying out.

Plus, and more importantly, as land owner I have the right to eject who I want if they are on my property. So there!

ya know, even if you do eject, nothing stops them from comming back

I did read your second post. You're just excusing your choice in behavior. I'm not arguing in the least that you've every right to disallow visitors. I'm just pointing out that you're being territorial, brutal and vulgar about how you go about it.

yea, i agree, thats kind of harsh, i see noobs trying to get itno my house, if they do nto try to particle spam me, or other crap, i simply tel lthem, that they are in my propety lines, i tel lthem to leave, especcialy when im buiolding or doing somthign private

I agree! I used to live next to the Shelter (*waves to Travis*) and there were tons of newbies all over the place. I just made sure they couldn't fly through the windows, and put scripted locks on the doors, and I was fine. I had a little garden that was open to all, and autoreturn was set to one minute. In all the months I was there ( I was never once annoyed/hassled/griefed/other wise irritated by anyone. The only reason I sold was to tier down.

Until proven otherwise, I consider each resident of SL to be a non-griefer. As such, I won't erect ban lines on any land I ever do own, nor will I ban individuals unless they've been totally dickfull (the opposite of dickless.)

I've only ever been griefed by ONE person, and that was an orbit, and I amused myself by sorting my inventory as I fell 30,000 meters.

theres this particular shop owner (sells freebie scripts) that ejects and bans anyone that visits his shop.
i dont understand the logic of that, but it is what he does in any case.

psykes security orb does that.
some ppl feel its a bit pricey, but imo its the best orb in existence.

I did read the second post and it changed nothing about what I think the way you are acting. As said by someone else, I see that just as a weak excuse for your behavior.

So your banlist has 40 entries? So what... mine has been bigger (I clean it every now and then). But every entry on it has a very good reason to be on it... judged by me (or the other in the group that holds my land) case by case. And you must done something real stupid to get on it.
