"Making Love" in SL...

I just want to get back to what I believe is the original point of this thread. I have a partner in SL. I am 29 and he is 64 (real ages). I feel no guilt and believe we do no harm in our friendship - or "love" - for each other. We have sex. Many people who offer snarkyisms and holier than thou poker-up-the-bum snarkyisms about SL sex, I think, may have a problem with the "guilt"/disapproval over masturbation that is so inherent in that act . I don't. BUT just as important as the sex is our friendship. We will never meet - we dont need to. We accept SL as the world WE inhabit. My avatar does NOT live in Real Life Rome or Sydney and HIS avatar does not live in London or New York. We live and enjoy the SL planet. I trust him and he trusts me and we meet and touch with thoughts and words. We use humour and compassion. We have lasted for 8 months. To join minds and - yes, even bodies - over thousands of miles is one of SL's great accomplishments.

if anyone else has any stories regarding long distance connection through sl i would be facinated to read more. especially psychic or spiritual connections as it relates to the topic of this thread

It would be funnier if it were at least somewhat creative, rather than being more or less purely mean-spirited, but it's still well worth a laugh because of the complete and utter lack of self-awareness this reflects. If you seriously think that most of the posters think that you are anything other than a troll, I don't know what to say, other than to laugh. It's the only rational response.

A cowboy is out riding his horse and is captured by Indians. They tie him up in a tipi and tell him that he has one last request.

He scrambles out to his horse, hoists himself up, and whispers into the horse's ear. At once the beast takes off and returns an hour later with a gorgeous redhead on its saddle.

The cowboy takes the girl into the tipi and they go at it like animals.

Actually I thought your first apologetic reply was sincere and would have replied to that effect if my router hadn't crashed at the wrong moment. If I may say so, I think you did overreact to the initial criticism of your views, but the same could be said of some of us who responded to you.

As for my, and others', criticisms of your grammar/typing etc., any errors did not prevent the sense of what you said coming over. My dissection of one paragraph was at least partly tongue in cheek, and if it gave you a smile, I'm glad. Whatever I or anyone else may feel about the subject, it is clear that traditional rules of grammar, syntax and spelling are not widely observed in forums, chatrooms and the like. The important thing is that the message you were trying to convey was clear, even if I strongly disagree with that message.
