I'd be rather unhappy if government was forced on everyone, because SL is about diversity and personal choice. So it'd not only be hypocritical, it'd SUCK.

I would probably cancel my premium subscription and just lurk.

I'd hang around for a month to laugh at the ensuing havok, then probably get sucked even further into World of Warcraft, There if i get too pissed I can kill things and it's all better. I go after someone in SL with a large sword and fireballs I get called a griefer and given a time out.

If LL imposed gridwide player government I wouldn't leave (lifetime account) but I would tier down to zero and declare my remaining lifetime allotment an anarchic haven. It would certainly be the end of any money flowing from me to LL, not that that's a threat or a significant amount to begin with.

I would probably get a lot more real work done too.

I'd giggle profusely as the first "elected" president became some person who had enough RL cash to fling around to buy enough votes to be elected president.

Then I'd leave and just focus on tabletop roleplaying campaigns instead. If there's a dumbass government in those I can generally overthrow them.

EDIT: Seriously, my RL government messes up enough stuff with their thousands of minions working for them to collect data and make models for them to act on, why on earth would I want to suffer worse mistakes which would inevitably be the case when fewer people are involved to organize and research things, when this is supposed to be my escape from that kinda stuff?

If Government ever came to SL I would flee in a Corellian Corvette and hide the government plans in my trusty AnneDroid. If captured I would jettison AnneDroid in search of my old friend ObiWan "Ben" KenLinden. I just know he would come rescue me with the help of the rogue smuggler Marcos, his furry copilot SteveR, and my whiney twin brother Forseti Skywalker.

And lemme tell you ... once we get our shit togther you know what's gonna happen to the Government ...

I would arrange for some scandal surrounding the pres and an intern and when he says he can't remember I'll post the movie capture.

I would try getting into the government and work to make it as restrictive and invading on people's freedom as possible ; I would suggest using popular moral values to fuel it. Chances are the SL population would consist of a large part of normal people (in opposion to idealist freedom loving ones), so it would work.

I would internally laugh all the time, of course.
