I think this is where we disagree, see. As I said, I do not make any distinction between saying "Hiro you are a hypocrite" and "Hiro you are being hypocritical". If you consider the first a personal attack while the second is an observation of your actions then I apologise and will in future make the distinction that I think you are behaving in a hypocritical manner so that you don't somehow misconstrue it to mean that I think you are the physical personification of hypocrisy brought to life.

I feel I need to publicly apologise for my actions on this thread. They were ridiculous, given the nature of the conversation that became apparent after the first few posts.

Therefore I unreservedly apologise for actually commenting directly on the original poster's forum idea not once, but in several of my responses. I promise, that as an outed troll and devout personal-attacker, I will not let this happen again to you Hiro, and will refrain from undermining your compartmentalisation of me by actually responding to the points you make and will instead concentrate solely on annoying, provoking and rambling.

Hiro, I think you saw my solution. I made a forum that people can do whatever they want, is closed to the non-sl public, and while is not 'neutral ground' is a place where anyone: resmod, avatar, or even linden, can have their say without being silenced.

Generally, here's the truth:

This is the Linden's forum. They control the contrast and brightness, and we are visitors in their home. If they decide to have resmods, THAT'S WHAT WE GET. Resmods were placed in for a reason. My take on it is that the Lindens were needing the forums cleaned up, but knew in doing so that a LOT of friction would pop-up.

So they get the community to clean itself up, and refrain from making it 'us' against 'them'.

The problem? We're VERY GOOD about making new 'thems'... Now the resmods get crap flinged at them all the time for just trying to clean up the forums enough to make them livable. Now, I'm not saying that the resmods have not made mistakes, and that those mistakes come from mostly a lack of communication and organization, but how long have they been in place? How much of their time has been spent dodging bullets from residents?

Hiro, your idea has merit for one reason beyond anything else: It's a standardized method to deal with repeat offenders. Here is my only problem with it: Paperwork! How do they keep track of the offenders in an organized manner, that takes as little time possible to do so?

I think the forums would need a hack to pull that off. Perhaps a new variable added to the database and a button to 'add one offense' that links the offense to a paticular post? (No, I'm not looking for a tech solution. It's just that for any system of user referance to work, you have to have a QUICK way to allow the resmods to organize it, otherwise why bother?)

Whereas if I call him a hypocrite for displaying hypocritical tendencies but he refuses to admit it to be the case, it's a fallacy and therefore an ad hominem attack. And hypocritical.
