So im flying around last night looking for land then all of a sudden I get a neg rating!! I didnt even see the person. I have never recieved a neg rating and it is a big deal to me. ------------------------------------------ then i got a message from someone who said they worked for the lindens and was here to help -- named -------------------------- (edited) comes to harrass me and send me negs!!!!!!!!!!!! i have never recieved negs in my entire life here and this whole situation really makes me want to quit. they kept follwing me some how and sending friends to neg rate me. I have no idea why excepth it made them feel good. It's sad that I didnt do anything I tried to get a linden to help but all they did was say they were busy and couldnt help me do a thing about it. and gave me this number: [email]support@secondlife.com[/email] (1-800-860-6990) I really value my ratings being positive. I think with a system that cant help you when it comes to neg ratings there is no way i want to spend any of my hard earned money on a game that cant help me when i need it. VERY VERY upset  |

Another victim of the W-hats. What do you expect from someone proud of calling themselves "cyber terrorists" and that spend their time here ruining the environment as much as they can and griefing people?
Nothing new, just pity them and move on (after sendingthe usual abuse report, since i doubt telling people one works for Linden Labs when it's not true is admitted in any way), they don't deserve your attention, believe me.

Sorry that you got neg rated, but in the whole scope of things, a couple of neg rates is not a big deal. If you get ganged rated, that can be a reason to file an abuse report. But, keep in mind, we all have the right to rate people positively or negatively, for any or no reason at all.
You will occasionally meet a few bad seeds and they managed to push your buttons with ratings, try not to let it bother you. I judge people more by how many bad ratings they have given over how many they have received. Our ratings now decay, so its not like it will be with you forever anyway.

Unfortunately the lindens proved to be extremely lax towards the griefing done by the W-hats so far, but before or later they will step beyond some obvious limit, and we will probably be there to laugh at them  |

First of all, let's not get another witch-hunt going after the W-hat guys.
Second of all, a neg rating means about jack squat... it's practically assumed any regular player of SL will acrrue a few.
Besides, it'll be gone 6 months from now, I wouldn't sweat it.

That would be an interesting sight indeed... Anyway the number of people harrassed by them is beyond count, so i guess it would be time for the lindens to pick up some pitchforks themselves. But i doubt they will, they don't do anything against a skilled virus programmer that could actually prove dangerous, doubt they will waste their time on some pathetic worthless worshipper of a dead and buried regime and that totally lacks any skill beyond eyesore building and neg rating |

Shiryu, do you honestly believe that it is the responsibility of this group of over 100 members, or even their leaders, to account for the behavior of any particular member of the group? Would you call for the lindens to take action against, say, a popular dance club because someone in that dance club's group negrated you, or shot you? I think you W-Hat reactionaries tend to exaggerate the cohesion of the group; what do we all have in common, anyway? We're all from an internet culture that satirizes things that you might take seriously. No one person speaks for all of us, so stop treating us like some kind of virtual military out to ruin your fun.
