I've been baron-banned

I don't fault you for feeling strong enough about something/one to post a thread on it. We all need support when we think we have been wronged. My point goes directly to those oh so many responses that followed. There is so much of this already out there... in various forms of 'hate spew' that it falls on deaf ears at this point. I think early on in the thread a method to handle your problem was suggested.

If you follow that formula and still do not get the results you want, then you need to rethink your strategy. I have always found Anshe Chung to be very approachable and friendly. Of course I have never neg rated her or trashed her in the forums either. I think that she has feelings - and her business signs are something she finds necessary to do her business - something she thinks is a reasonable method. To have it attacked and herself negrated because of it must get quite tiring and probably upsetting.

Those rare (thanks god) times I have been pushed to a wall by people not agreeing with me have made my resolve to defend myself even stronger. (Coming 'out' in the early 70's will do that). Mobs of people - shouting at me - only made me feel more strongly that I was right. That I had a right. That is RL - we, here , are talking about a game!

People are funny that way - unlike chickens. Chickens will start to pick on a member of the flock - and pick and pick until there is a dead chicken. People only get stronger. Anshe isn't a weak person who will fall to her knees and ask forgiveness from this community for playing this game way she wants. I think that all of this neg. attention has probably made her realize a certain superiority - be it in land, L$, or character.

The community should approach this issue, IMHO, by making amends with her and offering to meet or something - to try to help resolve or even come to understand the issues. Obviously - no one in this whole discussion is an EVIL person. Perhaps an Arbitrator could hear both sides. All would need to agree to the decision reached by the
Arbitrator. LL should provide that option for any/all of big trouble spots that crop up in order to stop this forum abuse. They nicely interject the standard party line, but never really offer anything else.

Oh, c'mon, there is plenty of evidence on the forums alone about that Liro person.

This baron/ness did this because he/she *can*. There's only one solution to this: you can try to get more people to rate this person's building skills poorly, to have a mass response. It's awfully, awfully hard to get people to do anything mass in a game like this, however, and the makers are often leery of such actions and discourage them.

I was thinking about joining you in this action, but I thought again, because I don't want a big red fence barrier to appear around my property as I fly around it. Of course I -- like you -- could get around this by just never flying around, and setting "teleport home" so that I just zoom right into my property, but that feels like jail. Flying around is half the fun.

Generally, I think the solution to these types of muscular actions by land barons is not to whine to the game company to say it's a violation of TOS, or to get them to change the rules. The solution is to have grassroots response. They do it *because they can* and you can figure out a response *because you can*.

If there were enough people to create safety in numbers, we could all do the negative build and tell "Mansey" that we will all retreact our negative build which was "just a joke" when "Mansey" then unbans us all. We need to know how many avatar bans the system can hold per player, for one.

But I also have to ask why we should negatively rate somebody who didn't build yet? Is that because their property will be bought up by mall builders who will build one more ugly mall? Or??? Explain that, and I will think about whether solidarity with your action is in order.

Thanks for your post. I agree about grassroots action, however I still have yet to find the appropriate medium.

I neg-rated the fact that there were an insane amount of for sales signs next to my property. I personally found that build negative.

See the problem is all I see is this woman. Every time I look to the sky from my house. Theres an ugly mall above my head. I mean I love to shop. I woulding't mind a nice buidl but its a ugly square, box stall over shooting the mountain thing. If she griefed someone she griefed someone no matter who she is.

Really Nolan - Jauani is right! Nowhere do you address the issues brought up in this thread, you just take up space to attack Jauani. Get a life - you can have one in RL and/or SL.

I wouldn't expect you to answer in any other format. You routinely ignore Jauani's personal attacks on people, and pat him on the back for his vast contributions to both SL and and the forums.
