SL Mafias/Familia's

What a interesting Monday night in SL I had. Okay so I'm the type that when I look for an event I just click on the MAP and if I see a ton of green dot's stacked and just fly to them to see what's going on. I noticed a stack of greens in the Tijuana sim owned by Schwan himself (You all know who he is hehe) and decided to fly over there to check it out. Then I notice my name pops up saying Eddie Bombay so and so # of meters away and this dude. Some rockwell TSO guy or something I was told pops up outta no where and is like state your business so I was like oh I just thought a party was going on since it was in the Tijuana sim. The dude tells me to buzz off so I'm like "lol, ok peace". So I go exploring around the Tijuana sim and shop for a bit. Stopped when I noticed a few friends of mine hanging out, Geo and Anastasia. It has a nice Spanish build to it and whoever decorated it did a great job in my opinion, but as I talk to them I see a group of people hovering over the Sim with guns and stuff. Next thing you know I get shot so high it's just insane so I'm thinking wtf? So I wait to land.. Took literally about 10 minutes to land so I ported out and came back.

Next thing you know I get shot again wtf sheesh. So I did a shout telling people I'm being griefed by adults acting like 5 year olds with their Mafia antics they picked up playing a game of TSO. After the third time being shot up go knows how high I decided to have a seat on the land and use my camera angel to look around heh. So after I sit I'm just using my camera angels to shop around and they notice I'm sitting on the floor of the land so they are telling me to stand up and shooting away at my avie as he is seated. I thought it was pretty hilarious about what a big deal it made when my avatar sat down. I assume they were pissed that nuking me had no effect when he was sitting down. So after they are just crying/bitching/moaning telling me to stand up dropping bombs I decide to take out my little C4 explosive since they were lagging the whole sim with their explosives and I set it off. Well all the avies (about 6 or 7) flew away after they got blown up since they weren't sitting down to anything and next thing you know I have like 4 or 5 other mafia's and families around me trying to grief my avie. Then Stacy Maracas who said she owned the sim (although in Schwan's name possibly renting it) get's all crazy with me in PM telling me that she reported me and my avatar is going to get banned rofl. I guess from her title she's also the godmother of the mafia/familia type of group. I tell her what about her whole mafia/familia type of people that nuked her whole sim up griefing the hell out of me and she just laughs. I'm like right lol, report me when I did one thing and all of her friends were griefing the hell out of me.

So I guess this is my first drama in SL even though it was fun with all the attention they gave me last night, but what the hell is the point of the mafia/familia? They say they watch each other?s back, but start so much shit with other people to get them wound up until one does something and then they call 15 people on one person. It seems that this all started happening when the TSO people started migrating to SL bringing their little virtual mafias and such. WTF? I understand the concept of having someone back you up if you are in need help, but starting shit with has done nothing and the second they do something to protect themselves call for backup? Are they that bored or wtf? I wanted to pm Stacy to see if she could get her little gang family to quit, but the way she was acting in PM was just too childish. Trying to tell me I'm going to get banned and such. Kiss my account goodbye? Umm no thanks I don't think.. Well I know I'm not going no where, but these people need to stop playing these silly games with people. Felt like 3rd grade all over. Was fun for the first 10 minutes, but then it just gets really boring.

The sim is owned by schwan himself correct but he is renting it to someone.. stacy maracas so he really does nothing with the island except collect the money for rent.

Looks like there is going to have to be a war....gangland style. I suggest we build some safe houses then then then we can ambush the bastards when they go to get haircuts.......someone get a hold of starax ...we need a horse's head asap.

Being italian and having lived in italy all my life (luckily in the north, so the REAL mafia is not so strong here) i sometimes really wonder why people think mafia is something worthy to be reproduced in virtual life... maybe they saw too many silly movies to understand what the crude reality is... but anyway it's kinda sad to see so many people proud of bringing the name "mafia" in their titles.

People roleplay all kinds of things here - goth/vamps are pretty cool so I started doing that a bit; they seem to be a lot more level headed as far as all the "killing" and griefing that happens ingame. All that just bores me tbh; I play fps games to get my aggressions out but some people really enjoy it because of the family-type connections they make moreso than the griefing & bombing.

I'm convinced something common about the human experience is: people just long to belong. To feel appreciated, listened to, know there's a place in the world for them -- all those insecurities under what may seem like a gruff exterior -- and simply being loved is more than enough, yeah, yeah.

As Dona of the Arma Familia Mafia all I have to say here is GROW THE F**K UP! My family is not about Drama and BS and I am not pleased with Eddie posing here in forums without discussing it with me first. HOWEVER - Let me remind you that there are several Mafia's in this Second Life and some get along and some don't but the bottom line is...DONT BE INVOLVED IN A MAFIA IF GETTING SHOT BOTHERS YOU! If you can't take the heat then get out of the damn kitchen.
