Selling tiny, useless plots with the intention of making gobs of money to open a successful museum is extortion, it not good business practice. I would expect that people will not visit a museum that was built upon these actions, either. There are plenty of ways to get the cash to start a successful build, such as buying L$ on the 3rd party sites, selling objects people actually want, designing clothes or even winning contests. Your actions won't win you friends, and they certainly will not win you patrons for your museum.

More power to you. I'm tired of people whining at the wrong targets. If Linden has a problem with this then Linden has the technical means to deal with it. But if Linden gives you, me or anyone else the opportunity to by x amount of land and place x amount of objects on it then you should be able to do what you want with your land.

And before anyone accuses me of being cool with this because it is NIMBY, come on over to Champlain and see some of the crap we have over there. If you really want to get away from it move into one of the planned 'Stepford Wife' communities popping up.

I didn't get riled up from this build. No one present there really did. The mood among everyone was as if ... an insolent orangutan came into the room and left droppings of his turds everywhere. We, not being insolent orangutans, could only shrug and sigh at this behaviour.

But that's just it. It feels like baby-sitting. I didn't sign up for that.

Lash, it would be fine if it just rotated and wasn't a big deal. The one near the shopping center is not bad. The one on the hill, however, is dangerous to look at. I placed objects over it to block it.

In the spirit of goodness, I shall make my museum less "hazardous" by reducing the spin of some particles.

Same here, and same with a couple of Sage residents. I talked to him personally when I first saw the build and inquired why it was there. I told him the truth in somewhat polite manner and he said "your mean." That's a quote, I for one hope I have better grammar. Anyway, if anyone would like one it seems that he has one of the signs for sale at $L25! I am going to hold off to leave more for all of you!

Sigh. This whole place is a big disappointment sometimes.

I honestly have an above average IQ, but I find this problem very annoying. It is very close to my land. I'd have to say less than 65m for the big one, and 15m for the small one. It is ugly to look at, and I don't find just not looking at it to be something I should have to do. What other outlet do we have? I took Rheya Linden's advice and abuse reported it, but haven't recieved a reply. I also talked to Wall Street on a few occasions, I am sure you know how that went. Do you have another idea?

The resolution of this kind of situation is so arbitrary. Last year a new member was suspended for 3 days because he built a tower like this when he was new. He didnt do it to try to force people to buy him out, it was just a regular old noob build with spinning prims. The build was designed to be temporary and he really was just a noob experimenting with prims and textures.

The other property owners in the sim were upset to see it and they messaged every Linden online to the build. There was nothing in the build that violated the TOS or CS but the other land owners in the sim thought it a hideous eyesore. Since the other land owners were VERY CLOSE TO THE LINDENS involved, the noob build was deleted by a Linden immediately and the new member was suspended for 3 days.

The only reason it seems that the current tower is allowed to remain is because the complainant lacks the inside pull required to get the tower demolished. If you know the right Lindens you can get eyesores torn down regardless of a lack of TOS violation and get the builder suspended to boot.

It's truly disgusting to encounter uneven treatment merely because one member is friends with the Lindens and the other is not.
