This is what you said in the last thread on the subject Talen, and even if this case is much more blatant, it still applies. Maybe now you understand why i wrote that post, not out of a whim to personally attack an individual, but just out of concern for this kind of extortion becoming a common twisted "marketing" tactic.

The person you cited in the previous post actually built something...if alby...err I mean dumbass had built a smokestack I wouldn't have cared. The person you were after was selling his land but at a normal price ...he wasn't looking to grief people into buying the land.

Dumbass street here has gone to the extreme to try and get his neighbors to buy the land...16m2 fir $599 is not a reasonable price and posting pictures of Grimmy Moonflower explains his intent quite nicely...if he actually uses the 16m2 to build something other than spinning cubes with grimmy I would give a shit less.

So he didn't give you explicit permission...just because someone has an image out there doesn't give you the right to use it as you see fit.

My point is that with the current rules everyone can build WHATEVER he wants on his land, including what Al... ahem Wall Street built, and put it for sale for whatever price he wants.
His intent unfortunately doesn't matter, even if you were able to proof his extortion intention beyond any possible doubt. As of now the rules do not protect residents in ANY way against this kind of land griefing.
This is why i think rules should be changed to prevent this. Just my two cent anyway.

If Wall Street is trying to get everyone's goat which seems very likely, why give him exactly what he's looking for? Dragging this to the forums every time simply encourages people to do this. Just ignore it and most likely it will go away before long. Notify a Linden. If it's violating TOS it will get deleted. If it's not then starting a thread about it is only going to make it stay there longer. If he's truly out to grief then this thread is giving him exactly what he wants. You mighta' missed this section in your oh-so-careful readthrough of the ToS, Alby... errr... Shepp... Errr... Wall...

In other words, if the Lindens decide that the true intent of your build is harrassing, they can remove it and ban you and be completely within the bounds of the terms of service, and no amount of claims it was a museum can shelter you.

Whether you have or have not done any of those is not up to you to decide, though. That's the great part.

I agree with you Chip but this case is a little different. He wants to be Grimmy so it seems but what he doesn't realize that the more attention he gets will get him closer to being banned. He deserves all the attention he can get at this point ....the more complaints just puts another Al...err alt through the door.

I agree with Chip once again he is sorta reading my mind however, my other post was in sarcasm to everyone saying Wall is gonna be banned.

Unfortunately he may be on the aspect prior to 1.2 there was a clause in the TOS about Checkerboarding and this falls within those parameters as it was a 16 meter plot.

However, as Chip mentioned bringing this to the forums is an issue that gives attention to the one doing what ever it may be.

To be honest Wall is prolly at home LHAO at this whole thing knowing it riles people.

SL has to Have its Token Griefer and sometimes you just have to take things with a grain of salt and go on. Drama really has never Benifited anyone other than to illicit emotions which drive up carnal instincts from time to time.

So in simple terms, abide by the TOS if he is violating it abuse report him. If its a violation of the Checkerboarding thing slam him on that aspect. Otherwise its slowly becomming moot to really debate anything on the forums as to many people get emotionaly involved which never helps in trying to get anything solved.
