From: Undisclosed ...suspended for 3 days for 'sexual harrasment', via a form letter. The letter included the violation of the community standards quote, except the letter was NOT the same as the definition on the community standards webpage. They added several lines to the letter, and the lines they added are the 'rules' I broke. I'm appealing of course but not hopeful.
The slideshow, I had removed during my absense by a helpful Linden. They busted me for having an offensive object, then suspended me, but left the object up! I was worried that more abuse claims would be filed during my suspension, and then I'd be banned for 'continuing abuse'. I dont have a lot of faith in the abuse reviewers, they seem to be processing cliams, not thinking or investigating them. If this is indeed true, shame on LL!! Someone, or some few, apparently have some real pull with the Lindens.
Sexual Harrasment? Who was harrassed? He took pictures of pixels..that anyone can see at any time. Sheesh...

Although the convoluted "I saw an episode of Perry Mason once" junk is still here: "I retain the right not to make assumptions and or validity of this information." He retains the right not to assume or to validity! The last time I validitied, I was too busy retaining the right not to assume and tripped over a poll.

From: Blake Rockwell Disclaimer: This is from a source that cannot be proven via evidence nor fact, therfore; by protection of privacy, I retain the right not to make assumptions and or validity of this information. Let's see what have here.... - A 'Quote' from 'someone' (no name or specific given)
- A claim of a TOS violation letter (but not included in the post)
- Reference to new text added to TOS in letter not in general TOS text
- No quoting of new text in TOS
- Claim that extra text is the TOS violation
So we have an unknown quote from an unknown person about an unknown TOS violation in an unknown letter. What's to make a person give any credence to this posting, or consider it anything other than pure conjecture?

Let me first say that I've known Taco for awhile and I consider him a friend. If he hadn't stirred up this particular hornet's nest, I am sure it was just a matter of time before someone else did so.
I think the line between RL and SL is becoming just a tad bit too blurred. In RL, if someone was going around displaying "upskirt" photos of people without their permission, I'd agree that would certainly be sexual harassment. In RL, it would take a fair amount of effort and trouble to obtain such photos however. A person would pretty much have to stand under a ladder with a camera and wait until someone wearing a skirt came along and obligingly climbed it. In SL, it's extremely simple to obtain such photos. Anyone can get an "upskirt" view at any time just by using "Alt" camera view. It's just a matter of hitting keys on the keyboard. "Alt" view can pretty much afford your avatar of view of anything in SL--in fact, you can even look through walls, and that's normal for SL. I'm not saying it's normal to want to get "upskirt" photos, I'm just saying that the ability to do so is normal for SL. Therefore, I don't see how those sorts of photos can be considered any different than, say, RL photos used in newspapers that show random people doing every day things like walking down the street or shopping in a mall. Those people don't have to give permission to have their images shown. If you are out in public in RL, you are giving consent to having your photo taken, basically. In RL, it's just as easy to take photos of people walking down the street as it is to take "upskirt" photos in SL.
I just think this is one of those cases where RL rules cannot be applied. It simply does not make any sense.

From: Lo Jacobs Knowledge? Ok. Wisdom? My ass. You had your photo taken as well? Heheh I couldn't resist. Aside from that - well all I see is a consistancy then - another player did exactly the same thing and received exactly the same treatment. If this *didn't* happen then I would say that 'a handful of players have sway' - as it stands I see a consistancy. Siggy.
