From: Chip Midnight You consider the teaching of science to be an attack on Christianity and a "humanist agenda". Finning has a good point, Kevn. If it makes you feel better about your belief system to believe I "consider the teaching of science to be an attack on Christianity" then you just keep on believing it. If you want to know what I really think, ask me or read my posts..

The digression was the best part of your post, Finning!
nail/head interface. That's the best argument I've seen on this thread so far.

From: Phedre Aquitaine I haven't seen a lot of atheists attacking Christianity. Can you point out whoever you have in mind, specifically? He means that we call them stupid because they focus on the fairy-tale wrapping of an otherwise pretty obvious community service announcement. its interesting... When christians preach (and tell us we're wrong not to embrace god), we're supposed to be silent and tolerant, but when atheists point out how stupid and irrational the belief in a deity really is (call it counter-preaching if you must), then we're "attacking". To all christians who feel attacked by atheists: Believe what you want in SILENCE, and you won't hear a peep out of us either. edit: omg this is a long thread... had to add my 2c, sorry for dragging it back on topic

Thats not how it works chum. He is free to speak his mind, you are free to speak yours, and I (as a pro-science, non-creationist Christian) am also free to moan about extreme views at either end. To add some spice to this debate, I'm coming to the personal opinion that Creationism and it's ilk is a cunning work of the devil specifically intended to undermine the true message of Jesus and make his church look ridiculous, just like the flat-earthers and geocentrists. Good God-fearing people who should be spending their time helping the poor and witnessing to good news now waste it making themselves look ignorant and the Bible look irrelevant in an age when wisdom and compassion are needed more than ever. Dons asbestos underwear and stands back for flames from BOTH sides.

From: Kevn Klein Never have I felt questioning Christianity is an attack on Christianity. If you can show a single post where I complained about someone questioning Christianity, I'd be thrilled to see it.
Post #1 in this thread, and every time you've mentioned "humanist faith", and the parts where you've referenced Discovery Institute materials, and in every place where your rhetoric is lifted whole cloth from Discovery Institute/Bob Jones University propaganda, etcetera. You don't /need/ to spell it out in precise words - your actions and sources speak for themselves. I'm not making a strawman, man. What you said is on public, written record. If it makes you uncomfortable that the position that you espouse has come back to bite you, then you ought to know better the position you espouse! Which, y'know, comes back to my original point: your ignorance of what you're talking about is not my fault nor my responsibility. From: Kevn Klein
But it doesn't exist, you are creating a straw-man argument, which I choose to ignore.
Rather, you choose to ignore the suddenly- inconvenient parts of the doctrine that you're espousing, when it no longer serves you. From: Kevn Klein
You see, the issue is, rather than reading the thread and my posts, you assume what you want to assume, and argue from that prospective.
It's "Perspective" and I'm referring to what you've written in this and other threads. From: Kevn Klein It's fine to do that, but I won't be responding to the wasted posts. Either argue directly with what I /ACTUALLY/ say or continue your game. Quote me and argue those points, or I won't be responding. TY, see you later. See, I already know that you have no shame. I'm not posting these things in order to actually try to persuade you - I know that trying to persuade /you/ is pointless. Like President Bush, you've made up your mind regardless of the facts of the situation and nothing can make you change your mind. I am, in fact, riffing on your words, postings, intentions - and laying out in plain English what your motivations and intentions are.

You CAN'T be accusing me of posting as an alt and I KNOW you aren't accusing me of being an alt, so, if it is at all possible for you to actually say what you mean and mean what you say without backtracking and twisting words, would you please explain what this posts means?

Sorry, that makes no sense at all, please explain how the first post to this thread suggests "questioning Christianity" equals an attack on Christianity. Show me how my references to the humanist faith and the parts where I've referenced Discovery Institute materials suggests "questioning Christianity" equals an attack on Christianity. Do you know how to cut and paste? Show me examples that suggest "questioning Christianity" equals an attack on Christianity. Your long posts don't impress me. Providing actual data to back your assertions would impress me.

Atheists don't attack Christianity. Every atheist/Atheist I know is busy tending to their own lives and trying to keep certain Christian sects from hijacking the government / trodding on their rights / espousing spun BS. Christianity has EIGHTEEN MAJOR FAMILIES of SECTS - not sects themselves but major /groupings/ - many of whom fight amongst themselves over piddling interpretations of doctrine and whether or not they're going to come in from the Iron Age to the 17'th century C.E. All the hundreds/thousands (perhaps because of Protestantism/Lutheran, /billions/) of individual differences in doctrines amongst these sects provide plenty of Christian-on-Christian strife. Not to mention in the entire realm of theism, there's Abrahamic-follower-on-Abrahamic-follower violence around the world and in the news constantly for the past century ...
What was the part about casting the beam from one's own eye?
The last time an atheist attacked Christianity/Christians, it was in Communist China. I wonder where your computer was manufactured? Clothes? Shoes? iPod? Car? The cup you drink your morning coffee from?

Good lord.. you ARE accusing me of being an alt.
Unbelievable!
I compliment someone's post and your defense is "Oh, you're an alt"... Jesus. You're amazing.
Enjoy trolling. I don't know what else to say to you.
Wait... is that an attack? Anyone know? Would accusing me of being an alt be considered an attack? It's a baseless accusation that attacks my credibility and calls me a liar. It's also a personal attack, which is against the rules, isn't it?
There is no evidence of me being an alt, other than saying "I like your post", so it's pretty obviously just a defensive lashing out of someone that's been consistantly outsmarted at every turn.
Reportable? Opinions?
Kevn, what would Jesus say about your behaviour?

TY, see you later. I'm sorry, I thought you and I were talking about the /same/ things. The confusion here is entirely your responsibility, because you put words in my mouth - I never stated that you said "Questioning Christianity is an attack on Christianity"- I said that you see the teaching of science and people leading lives outside your sect as being in direct /competition/ with Christianity, and hence to you an "attack" - because no-one is paying attention to you and your religion. Of course you wouldn't see someone /questioning/ your religious faith as an attack! That's precisely what you /want/ - for people to engage you on your own terms in a negotiation of understanding that you hope will end with them hopelessly entangled in the same superstition you're entangled in. What I said was that you see the teaching of science to be an attack on your religion - See every post about "humanist faith". Please, please - try to read what I've written, and not your prejudices. I write clear English; Do me the favour of reading it with a clear head, and you will be less frustrated.

Du bist Student und kein Meister denn der Meister erkennt: Es kann egal sein ob du studiert hast oder gut fickst – Was du verdienst ist was du kriegst! Since February you have posted 65 posts to the forum. Out of those 65 posts all but 6 were to this thread. Those six posts are in "Banned for 7 days" by (you know who) and "I live in a Country full of twits" which was posted by an atheist to show America’s distrust of atheism. You have suggested you have followed my opinions in other threads, does this mean it took you this thread to finally step-up and go after "my ilk"? You type in German ............ Really, try to be a bit more discreet

Really, try to be a bit more discreet Another typical non-response from Kevn. Kevn, why do Christians hate each other? Why have they killed each other over the tiniest, most obscure differences in interpretation of the Bible? Why don't you address Christian on Christian hatred? Do you support inter-Christian killing? What about inter-Christian war?

don't rain on his parade.... I once ran screaming from a forum on which this guy with several thousand posts only ever posted blowing the whistle on alts, about 0.5% of which were actually correct. He took it seriously, like some kind of job... and clearly, he lived to work.... so I say don't rain on his parade. Obviously he gathers self-worth from his perception that his alt-tracking skills are supreme... Why would you mock and ridicule someone whose self-esteem is so low, that he desires the approval and love of an imaginary super-being. ... Actually come to think of it, my own fantasy-life may have included an imaginary being or two at some point as well
