wow... being a noob sux! lafs. How the heck do you join the F.I.C. corp?

I think it is just a channel - I got in tonight for a bit, you just select the "Channels" button on your taskbar thing and click the Create/Join button. In the box that comes up, type F.I.C. and you will see that channel pop up.

Also, make sure to read the "10 Safety tips for new players" thread on the EO forums. Lots of good stuff there.

It is just a channel for now. I'm already in a corp and am happy with it, and I think I'm the only SLer there with the skills (Corporation Management) to start one...
The channel however can get us organised. Note the following.
1. Mining is less boring in groups.
2. Hunting npc pirates is less boring in groups.
3. 1 & 2 are SAFER when in groups.
4. It only takes about 2 days to get all the skills you need to fly a destroyer - and about a week for a cruiser. Though note, that's minimum capability.

Sorry to hear that Siobhan, can anyone else set up the corporation? I'd love to be in one with the rest of you.

It was covered in the TUTORIAL, you did finish the turorial didn't ya ?
If not, hit esc to bring up the preferences/quit screen. On the generic tab you can reset them and log out and back in and you should restart the tutorials. You can also access them from the help window.

I just started learning Caldari Cruiser level 3... so now all I need to do is save up the 32 million I need to buy one... >_<

LOL thats true! I got a cheap frigate after a few days and now kick ass on the little missions I get. As I gain loyalty or quality or whatever with an agent my awards go up nicely. A routine mission now gets me about 45000 - 75000 isk and goodies for getting done soon and all the loot from the cargo containers. I can run four of these an hour if I am lucky so for now thats not too bad and I like the combat. I would say that I make about 1/2 million per session online - maybe 2 hours and I am doing other stuff while traveling.

Er, 32 Million is a battlecruiser, not a cruiser. You can get a cruiser for about 8-10 million, less in the right places.

Right... I want this.

[edit] Ah I just saw I need Battlecruisers 1 as well... still that won't take long to learn.

And oooh it's listed as only 24 mil base price. Wonder where I got 32 from...

Having 2 issues.

1. Sound is really low... even when cpu sound is all the way up. Can you adjust it ingame somehow?

2. Window size on my laptop is too small... and on my desktop is too big. How do you change the size of the window that the game is played in?

While the game is running hit esc. This brings up, in SL language, the preferences screen which is tabbed where you make multidinous changes including sound pref.

2.5 hours and i'm back to mining/talking shit on all of you, yay!

I believe there is a settings button on the login screen (I am back at work, so I can't check). You can also hit escape and the tabs at the top of that screen have the various settings in them.

cool... thks... well... I like running in a window but can't see the bottom of the game window or my cpus toolbar when in this mode. Any suggestions?

Also, did the tutorial where it had me target something then fire at it... couldnt find the firing thingy... any help would be appreciated before I get mahsef blown to bits... chuckles.

I went to fullscreen as I hate hiding my taskbar but that is what you'll have to do or change your desktop resolution to match maybe ? If you have your noob weapon fitted, the activate button is on the bottom right of the ship control hud thingie at the bottom middle of your screen. When in doubt right click!

thks... figured it out... nother stupid noob question... hehe... the thingy on the right where it has the icons only has like 6 listed... I saw a bunch more earlier... did I do something to make em disapeer accidentally or is this normal in space?

the overview? right click on overview settings and youc an select what you do and don't want shown in that window...

No, not the overview... the other one... with your char info, inbox, market, map, wallet etc...

While you are in the tutorial, the icons that they haven't told you about yet are all hidden.
