Same old W-Hat song, and in the past, they've been shown to be under 18.

Well, interesting enough.. if it's a case of computer hacking, someone under 18 can be seriously hit by the courts... and even tried as an adult. ;)

I think it's interesting to note that > 66% of the people who voted thought this one should hit the courts as an example. That's a 2/3 majority. Sooner or later, one of these clowns is going to cross a line, or someone is going to get angry enough (if not here, then in another virtual world) and some griefer/hacker is going to have the local police carting off them and their equipment.

Hey, they should FAX in proof of age AND I.Q.

Osprey, in some cases, I have a hunch that might be close to the same figure. :D

Thanks for taking my statement out of context, it's not like I was talking about the fact that it was something that was coded for one purpose but turned into something else unintended. Oh I forgot, there's only one true perspective, dicks to the rest.

What?

Your original post seemed to imply that my zombies were designed to take down the grid.

That wasn't the intent whatsoever. The intent was to have a self-replicating shooting target for halloween.

The zombies worked. It's just people didn't know what to do with slow, moving cubes huddling their way, so they got in the way of everything and I got abuse reported a dozen times.

GrieferSphere != Zombie

before taking care of the "meet haxors" like all you seems to care about lets wash you all of all the copyrighted stuffs found across SL hm?

why dont you mind your own business, LL own the grid, LL own your accounts, LL can turn everything to ash in the blick of an EYE let LL take care of the problem like they want, they arent stupid.
It's not your combat guys

and dont tell me it is cause its your business here, as i said everything is owned by LL, not the IP of course but nothing prevent em to wipe your account when they want or reset your L$ balance.

And this is legal

stop thinking anything can go to the court cause itsnot the case, not in an online world

:D

But then... there is actual right and wrong. LOL

I remember a book quote (paraphrased, 'cause I can't remember the exact quote):

1. Reality is real.
2. Perception of reality is based upon the abilities and whims of the individual.
3. Reality remains real regardless of individual perception.

I know it's not a popular concept that there are basic principles of existence which prevent each of us from being our own little demigods... but hey, I didn't create the universe. LOL

And no, absolutely 100% not directed at you, because well, you answer with respect, and I appreciate that from anyone. Just making a comment upon general attitudes of mankind, which seems to be that every single person on the face of the earth has a basic, inherent right to make his/her own rules based upon his/her obvious infinite perceptions of life, the universe and everything, and the amazing resultant wisdom which comes therefrom.

Mankind in general is an extremely arrogant beast.

Truth is... there are things that are constants regardless how much people claim they aren't... and Linden Lab is no more of a god than any one of its users. In other words, tick off the users enough, they'll find out just how far up out of the sunlight that TOS can be shoved. :D

Just a statement of realistic fact. Perish forbid I should ever sue anyone; ain't my style. I prefer to rock the boat with facts. heh heh

But in truth, no one is really talking about suing LL... they're talking about suing the twit that took down the grid. Or more specificially, not suing... jailing... for computer hacking-- which is a federal crime.

When somebody that likes breaking things and is a member of a group that likes breaking things breaks my thing I tend to get mad at just about everybody who likes breaking things.

There should be severe penalties for breaking my things!

I don't pretend to know the details of what can or even should be done, but the idea that "accidentally on purpose" is a suitable excuse will not fly with me.

But it looks to me like LL exposed the underbelly of SL prior to the 1.7 rollout, little things were going on like stuff moving to "faster servers" and other perhaps other stuff I really don't care about the details of. Understand that even if true, this doesn't excuse the people who broke my thing in any way shape or form. If you try to break my stuff a little and you break it a lot, you should be punished for what you did, not for what you were trying to do, and if you knowingly took advantage of SL's (I'm not saying there was one) weakness, then it shows A) how little power you have on a day to day basis B) intent to do every bit of damage you caused (ie guilt).

Breaking my stuff .... vewy vewy bad bad bad (seriously -- punish to full extent)
(possibly) letting my stuff get broken ... lets not do this again.
