People are going to do whatever they want in a game like SecondLife. So why argue over it?

::Edit::
I am in NO way encouraging people to over 'love' their pets. :( Poor puppies.

I wanted the choice of deciding for myself. Chances are that I completely would have forgotten to look. Chances are that looking, I would have gone eiwww and not looked twice. But MY choice. Just had it with the moral minority around here deciding that they are the arbitors of our morality and what we can do and see and say.

Dearly Darling,

If someone were shoving you into an oven I would not stand by. I would do everything in my power to save your life. Not only because we share the same good taste (I also own that Hodge's gown) but because it is the right thing to do. As we all know, the picture was uploaded by the person who used it for the logo. You can contact her IM and still see it if you choose. No one has taken that right away from you.

Ever Yours,

Mrs. Showdog Tiger

it was removed for the image picked for the group, not because of what the group is based on and stands for. ty..

if your reported it for the picture alone, i apologize, but if u reported it simply beacuse you didnt agree with the concept.. THEN SHAME ON YOUR IGNORANCE!

im amazed at how some of you judge others in here, simply based on what they like.., SL is a great place to live fantasies you normally wouldn't or ocouldn't do in real life. i'm sure everyone agress with that. don't feed me any lines like i play SL to craft.. the game is a sex haven and is bascially what drives it...

As i explore this Secondlife i come across every different fetish imginable in this world, i see many that make me go hmmm, but do i judge others for what they like or dont or want to explore, no.. because thats their decision.. please repeat that.. ITS THEIR DECISION.. no1 id forcing you to join any group, participate in its activites or even socialize with any1 from it...

i most certianly do not report things simply because it doesn't sit right on my moral list...i accept the fact that this world is made up of every kind of person, and every perosn is different .. thats whats makes it so great, and its not my place or right to judge another for thier likes and dislikes,.. nor is it yours... and even if it's illegal, its still not my place, its the police and courts place then......

go ahead and type beastialty in google and see what u get,, millions of hits.. are you truly surprised by seeing this group if so many people in the world seem t o enjoy this particualr fetish... i would think not

seems to me alot of people in this world also have a huge _____ up their collective asses..

but then again......i bet theres a group in SL for that to :P

( and the grammer police can take a coffe break)

Holy crap. If you can't judge people because they like to fuck dogs, what can you judge them on? I... just... THEY ARE HAVING SEX WITH DOGS! DOGS! I'm sorry, but once it gets to that point, it's no longer a matter of "accepting one another for our differences".

Can't sleep and decided to wander into this mess.

Yeah. What Tren said. If these fucks are really into abusing animals in RL and said so, then I want more than just take down some pic, I want more than ban them from SL, I want to personally beat the living shit out of them till they beg for mercy. "Tolerance" my ass.

Have a good day.

I think the point of Kerry's post was "Try not to judge at all." We already have the government to do that for us!

Honestly, the way I see it, (and excuse me for using such a bad metaphor, spiders are just a representation of people with particular fetishes), if I'm walking in the woods and see a spider doing what it is spiders do, I'll walk around its web and keep moving. However, if said spider crawls into my home and starts building its web in there, then I'll squish it. I won't just go outside and go spider-hunting like so many others in the world tend to do.

All humans are naturally entitled to free will, and NOBODY has the right to take it away from you. I don't know why you do it, and I may be interested in hearing your side of the story just to get a better perspective, but I won't impose my beliefs on you or force you into rehab on account of my own moral standing. I can't. But we live in a society of law, and if you end up getting dragged away by the cops for what you do then I'm just gonna stand aside and watch.

Civilization can't override natural instincts and desires, but apparently it sure can try!

I dunno. To a large extent, that is the point of civilization.

It's not in our natural instinct to plant a garden or learn to read or refrain from killing a neighboring tribe, or heck, even refrain from killing our neighbor and running off with his wife. The idea being that by not acting on some of the baser instincts, you free up time and resources to work on more important things, like the discovery of penicillin or the innovation of fish sticks.

Well, the government actually is us. Our representatives, to be precise; and we are responsible for them.

And we'd better damn well NOT leave the judging to them, lol!

People aren't forced to do this, of course, but we should be glad some do, and certainly feel free to put in our own two cents worth of judgment.

Humans are not entitled to exercise their free will in all instances, unless they live in total isolation from all other humans. All other people - in the form of society - do have the right to take it away from you, should what you wish to do be considered harmful to others.

You may not care about this particular issue, and indeed, it is a rather odd issue, with little direct effect on the humans who don't engage in it. But the principle is the same, and there are those (me included) who feel it causes direct and unnecessary harm to animals.

If something did cut close enough to home for you, I'm fairly positive you would feel free to loudly express your beliefs to the other party (forcing them on them isn't really possible), and make every attempt to force them into rehab, jail, or both.

Take away ones right to rape an animal? I may not have the right to take that away from somebody. You are correct about that; in the same sense that I have no right to stop someone from raping little Billy down the street. Seriously, there is a limit on this shit. Free-will is just awesome til some dog gets it up the ass by a 30 year old man.

Sometimes your mind is so open.... your brains fall out.

You are damn right I'm going to "judge" someone who abuses an animal, a child, or even some stranger down the street. Since when does tolerance mean I don't care what you do, even if it harms someone else? And yes, I put animals into the "someone else" category, that is why there are laws against animal abuse, weak as they are.

Brilliant!

Well, i have been reading this post with interest. And weighed in a few times, ranting about free speech. But, I gotta say. I was just reading about the way the new blogs are gonna work, and i think maybe there are some ACTUAL free speech issues going on in SL.

I hate to admit it, but i think I've been convinced that i was wrong. Grrrrr. I was trying to stand by some friends, but, in retrospect, no matter how hard i tried to convince myself - i just really wanted to take a shower.

In the end, I can't say that we should have free speech and free thought on one hand, and then tell you not to judge someone and express your indignation and disgust as strongly as you wish.

One thing I can assure you, is that no animals were actually harmed in the making of this group - it was done to be provocative. The person who founded the group was as shocked as anyone that the membership grew the way it did.

From now on, I am going to save my own righteous indignation for issues of SLocial consequence - like Linden Labs censorship!!

*bows head and takes a few sharp whacks on the hiney - secretly liking it*

I can't take credit for the quote, but thanks. :)

I really wouldn't beat someone to a bloody pulp over this, btw, I'm not that violent, but animal or child abuse in RL makes me... really angry. You might say.

I sometimes get the feeling the reason I'm so open-minded is because I don't have any brains to begin with :D Feel free to point, laugh, and agree if necessary
