Why do you keep drawing attention to Prok's blog if you dislike it so much? Those who found relief from such posts being banned here repeatedly draw them back in to this forum with links. What's up with that?

Those who do this have not yet accepted that the only control that pitiful one has over them is the control they permit -- be it by spending energy, time, effort, or even thought upon her.

It's not unlike watching a car accident or the rat in the cocaine study who killed itself repeatedly returning for a shot. There's something about that poor idiot that some of these folks just cannot help going back to see again... and again... and again. Unhealthy, really -- but in a culture where sensationalism is prized, not unexpected.

I've often wondered the same thing.

Once you've flushed, why go digging in the sewers looking for your turd?

And the feeling one experiences using words like pitiful one, rats, poor idiot and unhealthy to describe others? What's up with that?

Actually I have been monitoring it lately because of the relentless attacks on my friend CrystalShard. I didn't read it at all for about 6 months, and then would receive IMs and messages from people telling me how often I was being mentioned. For awhile, it bothered me, until I just sort of let go of it. Now I find it amusing actually. I enjoy watching Prokofy so fired up that she says things like "CrystalShard is the real evil in SL!". I knew like clockwork that the tag team posting would occur, and was just pointing out that it had in record time.

Prokofy puts out so much disinformation at such a large volume, that when you are the subject of it often enough, you do start to feel a need to set the record straight. Not to correct Prokofy, who has no desire to get the truth right. It's about the other people reading it who might otherwise buy into it.

The real reason is, to keep tabs on them and make sure they don't know too much or reveal too much to the public... Oops, gotta run, my ferret and Enabran's aunt's poodle have a meeting with the Lindens in 10 minutes to make sure we're keeping the little man down...

Seriously tho, it's what Cienna said. In a perfect world, I wouldn't need to use the forums to ask for help with scripting or other projects... and I probably wouldn't engage in debate about things like this. But there's only so much mortal man can take, I lurked and kept my mouth shut when I heard Prok saying it... I'm now sufficiently frusterated with all the panic and fearmongering, the perpetual blame game... Enabran's right, success is something people have to work hard for, and it's a kick in the balls to have people scream about how it's not fair, it's LL's fault they aren't successful, ect. Life isn't fair, but you do your best and play with the hand that you've been dealt.

This was the first time I looked at Prok's blog that I can recall. I glanced at it, saw that it was praising Coco's idea that she had goaded LL into "giving us more equal opportunity"... and yet still claiming that there was this FIC presence keeping the little guy down... It's interesting in the same way reading the National Enquirer is interesting... Always good to keep your mind fit by looking at all sorts of viewpoints, no matter how nonsensical they may seem.

Then... why post a link to it here in the forums? Just comment on the blog itself. I don't want to read his nonsense... and I don't see how it has anything to do with what people who are able to post in these forums are saying.

I can state that one of the reasons I follow his blog and his posts on other blogs is for the times he speaks untruths about Neualtenburg. On the off chance someone new to SL stumbles across his lies and takes them for truth, I want to be there to set the record straight. But other than Neualtenburg issues, I don't give him the time of day anymore.

I'm not asking why you read it, but why you draw attention to it in these forums. i thought there was a place to respond and therefore correct any innacuracies which you perceive at the blog site. By linking it in here, you're actually giving the site, and thus the views you disagree with more readership. I hadn't given it a 'second thought" until you reminded me about it.
Looking at the comments on this page, I'm not seeing anything dispelled or contradicted. I've only learned that you're pleased with yourself for having predicted the topic of his next blog, that the column width is narrow, and that column width relates to ones pov.

Some may want to read what was said by Prok. To me I still find it really irritating that someone banned from the forums can still read everything that is posted. Hense why i'm happy they finally made the rule of "banned from the forums banned in world as well".

No one *has* to click the link. Those who want to have an easier way of doing so though if someone posts it.

Why did you click the link then, out of curiosity, or read what is in the blog? No one forced you to read it. The topic of the entire blog post was the very thread we are discussing, and the issues involved. That is what it has to do with people who are able to post in these forums.

Like Lianne, what exactly compelled you to click the link and read the entry? You are responsible for what you choose to read. It may not be of interest to you, but I did not realize we were only supposed to post about things you wanted to read.

Margaret..... you know darn well who I'm talking about.

Btw, Weedy, Cienna's use of rats and unhealthy was in reference to the people who read and post about Prok's blog. That would be you.

Unable to answer my question, you resort to a personal attack.

I think their are many contenders in the arrogant name caller category.

Whoever Prok has a hold on, it's not me. I don't read, report on, and writhe over Prok's every opinion.

I'll make a deal with you. Spend months having blog entries written about you, containing false information, insults, even racial and sexual slurs about you. Have the same thing done in world, in comments in the SLH, and even on other sites. Have the same done to other people you care about, and then talk to me about Prokofy's blog.

If you think I am exaggerating, spend some time looking at the hundreds of blog entries, and see how many times my name, Aimee's name, and CrystalShard's names appear, all while disparaigning us over and over and over. That kind of relentless harassment will get to anyone. Yes, it is one person posting in their blog, who also tells anyone who will listen the same poisonous bullshit. At times, it has risen to the level of feeling stalked, and has affected enjoyment of SL.

I make no apologies for posting a link, as again, you are not a powerless automaton incapable of choosing what to read or not to read. As the entire thing is about this thread, it is relevant to the thread.

There's a difference between bringing up the past and ragging on someone.

I recognize there's a long history here. But I see plenty of bad behavior
from both sides of the Coco gap.

Ignorance is bliss I guess. Seeing one side and not the other is not bliss though, it's bias.
