When a forum gets as massive as SomethingAwful's, I'm sure the cost of running said forum becomes nigh-unbearable for an individual. I can understand why there's an entrance fee (Make people behave for fear of ban and $10 loss, support forum financially, etc) I just have no desire to pay $10 for a forum account that would last me a day and a half. =P
Last I checked the ban logs, some of the banning reason were pretty insane. |

The bans that don't make sense are usually because the banned person has be on probation several times, or possibly were banned for something with a PM or something that happened offsite, and the banner just stuck something random in there and banned them by their last post, no matter what it was. |
