This is what happens when a girl into photography gets married... well.. collared technically, but married is close enough.

Sorry - I can only post single links at a time, otherwise it turns to soup and links don't work.

Nice AV... what skin is that if I may ask?

Also... here's a tip for those close ups. If you actually move the camera close to your AV, you end up with wierd distortion effects. If you move it further away, you don't have enough pixels. What's a troubled photographer to do?

Answer... in the snapshot dialog, increase the resolution to 4000x4000 THEN take a picture. Sure, it will make your computer whine and moan under the load. But this way, you can zoom out far enough to avoid the distortion and then just crop the photo later still having plenty of pixels.

By the way, it also helps if you can afford to set anti-aliazing on your video driver. Even 2x helps a great deal when you are in too much of a rush to fool with the time delays associated with 4k x 4k shots

Hope that helps

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

If you're worried about distortion on close-ups, hit <Ctrl><0> about 3-4 times until the head takes up a good portion of the screen. Distortion will be gone. To return to normal hit <Ctrl><9>. No need for an uber high resolution snapshot to eliminate distortion.

While on the subject of resolution - If you're using anti-aliasing at 4000x4000 pixels, the difference between full anti-aliasing and no anti-aliasing is almost negligable once the image is reduced to a presentable 600x600 pixels for this forum. A super high resolution image without anti-aliasing is sometimes helpful to isolate figures and backgrounds, like in the composite example shown below.

The male head skin in this image (Adam, from Second Skin Labs) is the same one Bourne and Petteri are wearing as full body a few posts back. The female head skin is Evie from Second Skin Labs. The carbon skin suits (also from Second Skin Labs) are not for sale (yet). The cyborg suit and body armor are from Hydrogen Excelsior (6ixth) and the "Robots of Dawn" pose is from drOffset Cortes. The male kneeling pose was gifted to me by Christiano Midnight. The cowboy hat is from SS Labs (not for sale).

Me, in a hurry as usual. It's a very clean shot! Really! Or at least I'm very clean.

Well just as Nam has mentioned in his previous post...this is the Adam skin from Second Skin Labs. It absolutely is amazing. Sometimes I get so use to the realism, that when I see a newbie walk by I'm like "whoa...that is cartoonish!"

I can not speak enough to how awesome Nam's skin is. Like I have mentioned in other posts, I get recgonized where ever I go. I kinda like all the attention. I usually shy away from it in RL, but don't mind standing out in SL! =)

I'll be Nam's first customer for his next, top of the line Male skin!

On the first part, interesting. I'm going to need to look into what ctrl-0 and ctrl-9 do.

On the second part, you're absolutely right. Anti-aliasing is only really of use when you're shooting in a rush at regular resolution. My preference is to shoot at 4k x 4k since that gives you a lot more choices. Unfortunately, even at my system specs, 4k^2 snapshots make my computer whine and sometimes I'm just don't have the time to do that... hence the anti-aliasing. For the artwork that I like to make, I prefer a final resolution of around 1024^2 since that way, even when someone zooms in to look at it, it is still crisp and clear.

By the way, incredible skins Nam.. I went to take a look about a week ago at Evie. Too bad she's so tanned, I prefer a pale skin to go with my dark hair (not goth pale, a more reasonable pale/pink color).

Some pics I took recently at the Midsomer and Liquid Heat sims. I encourage you to visit both as the scenery is gorgeous and you just -might- catch a glimpse of a faery or two...
