why do all these sexy avs\is' not show up on my computer? what am i doing wrong. post after post i see where people say "look at me" but I don't see them! LOL! Is it a display setting? i have made sure in the CP it says to display images, however, HTML display says 'off' and does not give me a way to change it. Is it a browser setting? i have everything turned on. Java, Javascript, images, etc.... Hey, i need to compare the competition!!! Ha!

There are two issues (at least).
First, if you were looking at the beginning of this thread, those posts are from a previous incarnation of this forum. They moved the forum, but forgot to move the attachments. Doh! Second, "tags" are currently turned off in anticipation of some change to the website. Some change that's been anticipated for months now and no change. Some change that really shouldn't need forum tags turned off for months at a time. So, there's somebody at LL who's falling down on the job here -- either in misinforming us, or not keeping us informed, or following silly policies, or SOMETHING. The upshot is, many links in threads aren't rendered as links the way they should be; if you can copy them into the address bar in your browser you can see them. This is not your fault, it's LL's. In general I think they're a seriously competent group, but even the best companies have their weak spots. If it's something other than the above, let us know. |

Oh: the "attached images" should look like links or else images. You control how they look in forum preferences (Quick Links -> Edit Options -> Show Images).
Attached images are what you get when you use the "Manage Attachments" button below the text window for adding a post. If you just want to add a link to an image, instead of using the link widget, use [img]tags instead of tags. HTH |
