But my number one overall pet peeve: When you've answered a question on the forums and someone comes along a bit later and answers the same question saying pretty much the same thing you did nearly verbatim. Huh? What's the point? No really....why? Is it a post count thing?
that's a good one! Another one I love is when you've answered a question on the forums and someone comes along a bit later and answers the same question saying pretty much the same thing you did almost verbatim. Huh? What's the point? No really....why? Is it a post count thing? :P

Sometimes you just need a good smack upside your head.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

LL not reminding you (before the purchase) that an island purchase counts towards your monthly L$ limits.

LL not responding to numerous requests of higher selling/purchase limits.

Ummm..My reason is that i could not get a photo i like of the shoes while they were on my avie. So maybe other people have the same prob and just put a shot of the shoes up.

My pet peeve.....

People putting some type of spy script thingy on my land all the time.

but if you can not find a pic of the shoes on the avi that you liked, that is um not good.... does it mean the shoes do not look good on the avi?

(that is the first thing I think, shoes look better off than on)

please do not think I am attacking anyone on this, I am just... well it is a pet peeve, I wanna see how they look.

ohhh I did find a place that had demo shoes which was awesome, I could actually try one on. (of course one foot and it had a big demo sign like hair does) but god I loved that!

I simply wish that when new product is listed here in the forums that vendors include:

1. Descriptive title (we all click based on a description that makes sense ie "black goth skirt";). If I'm interested in such, I'll click regardless of how it looks.

2. Photos... yes, include photos with the post. I'm not going to log in to SL to look at one item I MAY be interested in. There's always plenty I'm interested in based on a description, but that much time I don't have.

3. Descriptive description. It helps. What does it all do? What are the features? A one line "I'm having a Sale this weekend, here's the SLURL" is not encouraging.

4. Optional -- links to SLX store and SLURLs and even a web site if have.

I probably would have bought way more in SL if vendors provide descriptive and complete information. That's all. But maybe I'm an oddball. :-)

you are not an oddball, yes that is annoying
I have been noticing it lately too

please ppl if you post in the ad forums be it sale or new items etc, put a pic a desc and a link!!

* Dance floors that make the invisible prims of your shoes appear as bright colors.

what causes that to happen? I have noticed it too

does the newest invisi prim script help stop that?

Sorry Rha...I'm guilty of the "no avie foot photo in the shoe poster" pet peeve of yours. It's just that...well, um..the av foot is so dang ugly! Unless it's completely covered up..it's just a hideous flipper like appendage that has no business in a display poster.

~Ari

not sure how some ppl do it but I have seen ads for shoes where the foot doesn't look all that bad

even the one where the foot shoes in my ad it is not all that bad...

I would rather see the ugly foot and how the shoe fits than just the shoe

but... if the shoe looks nice enough without a foot I have been known to buy it LOL
I love the idea of the demo shoe though, very cool idea and might actually do it myself..

ahhh well pet peeves are just that,,, a peeve, nothing to get upset about... and..... those puppy shoes are got me thinking LOL

AHHH I think I just spammed this thread.,.. why do you all post after I got to bed LOL

some very interesting pet peeves and I hope that ppl (including myself) learn some stuff from this...

one thing I am going to do to help one pet peeve in here is to put a notecard in all my items letting them know where they can get the hair and skin and shoes etc that are displayed on the model.

sorry I can not help with the others as I am not guilty of those ones LOL

PS I mentioned about shoes and not on the avi and how the one of mine is not that bad
since can not attach photos to this thread here is a link to the shoe on slexchange
http://uncensored.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=226867
and here is one that the feet do not completely show
http://uncensored.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=226871

(I so need to find that link to the plug in for firefox for showing the links as clickable in here)

I actually never thought of putting the shoes on an avi i was busy trying to show all possible angles of the shoes and trying to fit em in a single 512x512 photo for the vendor box. Although come to think if it you can find my shoes in other photos in the store (not a huge shoe maker, but honestly I never considered leaving them on the avi :P)

to busy trying to show all its sides etc (soles, left/right/front/back) so i guess adding another photo to show them on the avi for the box front display makes it so its kinda crowded and hard to see anything

dunno :)

My biggest pet peeve of the moment is the concept of wearing shorts under a prim skirt. I understand the reasoning behind "glitch pants" but I haven't worn shorts under a skirt since grade school and I am not about to start now.

Come on clothing designers and design skirts that don't require shorts.

I just think the av feet are ugly in any shape or form (unless totally covered in a boot!)...I'm sure it's a personal issue :p

But I did have a customer ask me if she could demo a shoe before she bought it...so I started making demos last night for them. I'm so glad she contacted me...I would have *never* thought of it!

Tis a brilliant idea me thinks :)

If you want short prim skirts without the pants, try Zoe's panty-less minis...

Not knowing the layers that clothing comes on.

I never buy from a scripted vendor because of this, only from regular Buy boxes where I can look inside and see. For no-transfer stuff I like to have the option for undies on pant/shirt layers as an example, and tops as jackets maybe. I bug my fashionista friends about it- I won't give up my cute tattoos for an outfit :)

So if you use a vendor, please consider providing information on what layers your clothes go on. If you do copy/no-transfer clothes, please consider taking a little extra time to drop those textures on extra layers!

Using minimum sized prims on things that may still want some shrinking, like hair for my wee head. My favourite hair maker started using tiny cubes for the root prims, which stop the hair being shrunk hardly any amount without some serious linked prim editing.

Rude people are my biggest peeve though.
