I'd miss the forums and the contact it gives me with all my friiends. Even when I'm at home doing things that would prevent me from being on SL, I can scan the forums and keep up with things in the few spare moments I might have.

I don't get the "cartel members shouldn't post in the forums" thing? Am I misreading something or did I miss something? Why would anyone want to prevent members of the Forum Cartel from posting here. The Cartel is made up of some of the most prolific and helpful posters here. Or am I just completely missing something?

I don't think it is you who is missing anything...we'll you're missing somethings all right....just not in this context

yes, I'd miss them, and I think it'd be a brain dead move for LL to scrap them en toto. (not that I don't think they've made a few other brain damaged moves...)

yes it's true that a great deal of information is repeated and could be found in areas like the knowledge base, and there's plenty of pettiness and egocentricity to go around... but the forums provide a great deal of up to date information that isn't available, access to hard to find info, and a training ground both for the technical and cultural aspects of SL that LL is unable to provide on it's own... hell much of the knowledge base was built in these forums, by residents that took the time to document activities, behaviors, workarounds, specific issue fixes, and so much more...

PS I found this phrase in the 'Inc' article funny..

I'd have to find somewhere else to waste my lunch hour.

P.S. I would venture a guess that Jig is purposefully misspelling words to irritate the few of you that she is at odds with... darned if it's not working. :P

hmmm interesting...

as far as I know, Jig is not at odds with me, and I am definitely not at odds with her (expect the obvious misuse of the written word)

(shrug)

Too bad. If you were incompetant AND lazy you could run for office.

Dishonesty helps also, and FTW, just plain evil.

Jig just type Rha, most do :)

Unless you want to call me Rah which actually works too LOL

(and you really can not typo a word(name) that was random letters on the keyboard to begin with (that is how I can up with my name))
