I'd like it to remain the realm of the plethora of indie acts we already have performing live on a daily basis. Let's stop trying to bring all of RL into SL.

Thank you all, and please feel free to continue. Message to Harold. My company cannot get funded based on indie acts that already exist in SL (what do they draw, 10 people a show.thats not a money maker). However, my plan is not to replace them, but to build the entertainment content in SL. When it comes time to kick off the concert series the existing indie acts can open shows for the headliners. I hope that will make you and everyone thinking along those lines happy as well.

Oh God the 5th is a tear jerker. When I want to feel heroic, I listen to the 1st, the final movement is just inspiring. Then there's the 9th.......

I would add Prince, Earth Wind and Fire, Black 47 and The Pogues.....and Haircut 100!

There are plenty of acts in SL already who easily max out the reasonable capacity of class 5 sims. How are you going to expand beyond that? At 40 to 50+ people does it become a big money maker?

I can't tell you that Kenbro(it's a secret). My partner and i have been killing ourselves over that issue for quite some time( it's called "Liquid Technology";), to figure out how we could accomodate a large amount of people for concerts(and i do mean large) . I believe we have it. Up until now the amount of people that go to concerts can be classified as small listening parties(50, 100, 200, etc..). we are coming to change that. We don't want SL to ever lose it's luster, we want to offer all genres of entertainment, so everyone will be happy. Personally i can't wait to see a massive amount of avatars gathered in the same place for a concert, i think it will be a very exciting and visually stimulating sight. Are you ready.

Well color me skeptical. :^) But bring it on... Personally one of the things I like about live music in SL is the quaintness of a small crowd. I hope you have some tremendous ideas for greifer control also.. oh my would that kind of event be a target for the evil doers among us...

There is only one band that should perform in SL...

Cheap Trick

In a big, honkin' Budokan arena.

If Joe Cocker is there then I demand that Country Joe McDonald gets equal billing. :)

As long as he brings The Fish....and The Band. Throw in Grand Funk while you are at it.

Why don't we just broadcast the Woodstock film then? That should keep everyone happy?

I think CCR were around then, but they didn't play at Woodstock.
