From: Rusty Satyr There's no point in trying to correct forum etiquette anymore.
People are so angry about whatever their current pet peeve is that they feel that entitles them to ignore all posted guidelines to say whatever they want wherever they feel like.
Few seem to bother to look for existing threads before they start duplicates...
Few seem to care what the intended purpose of the specific forums are...
Few enough inappropriate threads get closed promptly.
Obviously, it's become a free-for-all.
So many voices... so much noise. Did you say something, Rusty? A lotta noise here, I feel like I'm in the VoiceChat Beta. Are we gonna pull out the "Airplane" quotes again, or are we going to use something else when the thread Jumps the Shark?

Apparently so... and I'm mad as hell about it! How dare someone go and post something unreasonable and outlandishly brash when I'm not looking to quibble over their unrealistic, invalid or illogical points. I must have been distracted by a friendly Dryad or something.

Starting with the thread begun yesterday by the OP.. which is of course the cause of Brenda's perpetual changing of the underwear. (how much have you gotten for that by the way?) (how much have you gotten for that by the way?) Ask Chris...he'll tell you. Decorum prevents me from doing so.

Tracy, you claim you were defrauded by another resident. And, you claim Linden Lab (no 's') should be held accountable financially. Your mentality is that you should be able to sue the government because a crook stole your car while parked on a city street. While, no doubt you can file the lawsuit, there is no merit to your case.
As for your dire warnings about the future of SL, the same warnings were made of the internet back in the early 90's when it transformed into the World Wide Web. And while many legal battles are waged over internet properties, those battles are between the parties involved.... not Al Gore.

Okay. I'm caught up now. You'd think the OP would learn that attempting to post an "official notice of impending litigation" here is like trying stumping from inside an asylum. As far as I'm concerned... Brenda totally won the other thread with: "omg, I can't believe Colette is missing this!" I was utterly in stitches.

This was even better entertainment than the new Pirates of the Carribean movei! I particularly enjoyed the OP's poor grammar and the made up psuedo-legal terminology. Personally, I know nothing of US law, but I'm sure that if such a thing as "guidance counsel" existed I'd have heard of it on Ally MacBeal by now.

In High School, I had a "guidance counselor". He wasn't a lawyer. From: Conan Godwin Personally, I know nothing of US law, but I'm sure that if such a thing as "guidance counsel" existed I'd have heard of it on Ally MacBeal by now.

From: Chris Norse A gentleman never tells. A gentleman would never offer a lady money for her panties. He'd buy her dinner. And flowers. And jewelry. And perhaps a car. Maybe even a house.

From: Brenda Connolly Better chance he was a pedophile.... You mean he loved feet? I mean, feet are important - they perform an important function - but I've always considered them to be one of those things that are just there to do a job and need no appreciation - like chairs and pillows etc.

/me absent mindedly, like an unthinking automaton, takes a handful of Mily's popcorn, almost in a trance with fascination at the progress of the thread.
This is turning into an epic of Homeric proportions. It's got good guys, villains, a woman fighting against the odds to preserve the company/house/farm/icecream shop that she loves, it's got a tyrannical faceless corporation squashing the little guy underfoot, it's got a hero willing to stand up for what's right. I wonder how it will end. This sequel is atleast as good as the first one!
