While wearing my 'Mistress Malkavian' tag I have, on several occasions, had random guys wander over and insist that they are my slaves. INSIST, not offer or ask, and when I explain that it's an officer tag for a vampire group and I have no interest in dominating anyone, they argue with me about it and follow me around, sometimes bumping, until I tp out. I should probably mention that every time this has happened, I've been doing something innocuous like shopping for shoes. You do NOT want to interrupt me while I'm hunting shoes.

Oh, wait, that's not quite true...I was approached in a shop selling dungeon furniture once, but in that case, the guy was entirely polite from the get go and backed off when I explained the tag. Go figure. My guess would be that he was the only one who actually knew anything about the lifestyle.

Give SkyBeam Sandbox a try too. We try really hard to keep it policed well. The rules are available in several languages and while we don't have 24/7 coverage for most of the day/evening SL time we have folks that are at least checking in frequently. I don't have massive amounts of freebies, advertising, classes for newbs, and so forth that contribute to huge amounts of traffic that really lag things down. Its intended to be a builder's sandbox and therefore things that interfere with that goal aren't permitted such as driving/flying vehicles. Its also PG rated, so some items can't be built or displayed there, including pixel-slapping anims and prim penises.

As for how not to impress a lady you have just met... 'Come fuck me good' didn't rate too highly with me. I told the guy there was a waiting list and he asked how long he'd have to wait. roflmao. Nice to know I'm worth waiting for

This is all soooo funny. I kinda like meeting these noobs sometimes, and helping them through the wacky world of SL.

I once tp'd home from a night out to find a noobie guy standing on my balcony trying to get in. I thought..how do deal with this? I stepped outside, dressed in a leather bondage type stripper outfit, and said hello. He was so embarrassed to have been caught in the act that he nearly fell of the porch. I saw it was his first day, so I started talking with him. I told him that what he was doing might be considered rude to some people, and that you should always knock before trying the door.

Anyways...I took him out shopping for the day. I got him all pretty...and we even went out on a date. It was kinda fun.

We should always try to help out the noobs as much as possible I think...as long as they're not being totally obnoxious.

I agree, we should always help out. I even spend several hrs per week on orientation or help island and trust me....most of them want to know basic stuff like moving around, flying, clothes, hair, skins...and let's face it, we were once like them..staggering around and bumping into anything in our paths. But when they start wearing primsticks and get verbally abusive, I mute and ignore.

I tell the guys who forget (as in closed but prim showing ..) To "Zip Up" - anyone worth talking to will get you mean and it will magically go away.

The ones who dont know what your talking about or refuse- are idiots anyhow.

I tried that and found out that 7 out of 10 are idiots (or over-hormonal and didn't care)...oh, well. Still, I didn't refuse to help when asked a legitimate question, like, "How do I detach this?"
