Interesting.
Seems you both have an attention seeking disorder.

Haha. Some great ideas for dealing with that certain type of person here. I have been known to put my granny AV on and whack him about with my walking stick. Does the trick too.

In contrast, how TO impress... Something that happened ages ago that was really nice.

I was sitting on a bench in Apollo and went AFK. When I woke I has an IM: "<Name> gently kisses your cheek while you are sleeping." He was not around so I IM'd him back saying how sweet I thought that was. He came back and, to my surprise, had total newbie appearance. He'd been in SL for just 2 days. Over the course of time, we have become great friends.

Too funny!!!! Fortunately, I am basically too unattractive to get much of this type of attention. when I do, it is not nearly as funny as your experience. It is genrally along the lines of: Hi...wanna f**k?

Me: No.

Him: Hey c'mon.

If I am on my land, I eject and bann him. If I am someone else's I tp out of there.

My avi is reasonably attractive but for those wonderful moments of unwanted attention I rely on the freebie groucho marx glasses. These come with a nose (that is as impressive as the freebie pp) bushy eyebrows and moustache. It doesnt always put them off but affords me a bit of amusement at the situation.

I wonder how old this guy's account was, and what his introduction to Second Life was like. Escrotes giving him his freebie penis and taking him around all the sex haunts giving him the impression that SL is all about sex, or something more useful that he chose to ignore? It's interesting how some of these freebie dick wearers turn into productive residents once somebody gives them a clue. Or rather hammers the clue home. :p

they had some SL people on a Fox morning talk show yesterday and sex/relationships/kink was basicly all they talked about, and they made it sound quite interesting to anyone curious for an interesting diversion on the web.

The origional topic was something about rape in virtual worlds and it ended up as a nice advertising spot for SL.

Most noobs still believe SL is a 24/7 orgy, and maybe for some it is. When I explain that this is not the case, I usually get the reaction: "Oh..." And when someone points their ugly primstick at me I trigger the female ROFL gesture where I actually roll over the floor and laugh with a snort. Works everytime...

You can get the vomit from Abranimations, and it would be trivial to preceed with a pointing hand (which also triggers the vomiting) via a gesture. Just sayin'. :D

Might I suggest buying a pet kitty for just such an occasion. I have a Black Panther that I like to let loose from my inventory if someone is hanging around acting stupid.

A quick touch to the kitty brings a growl and drop down menu with an option to attack any avatar in the vicinity.

Always fun to watch...hehe

Wouldn't pointing and vomiting be broadly offensive?:D

Love this thread. Makes me think of old past times at Archan, and the cries of SPOOOOOONS ...

Just look at the 4 prim woody and all will become horrifically clear what that was about ...

I was in a deep conversation with my partner (for once) when a Newbie (I checked his profile) actually managed to fly THROUGH my glass wall ON FIRE (flames shooting everywhere) and slam into the cliff face (I have a very artsy house) As he kinda staggered around I shot him.

Uhm... That sounds more like an accident that a rude intrusion, hardly similar to less than eloquent noobs with their bits hanging out.

When I landed in a public sandbox the other day, and newbie looking guy arrived at TP landing point the same time. I wandered off, as one does, to find a clear area to work. The guy followed me and said in chat 'don't run away' and then 'I love you'! Then my comp crashed so that was the end of that!! Would it have been the beginning of a beautiful romance? Alas I will never know!
