From: Ephraim Kappler Ephraim Kappler chuckles: couldn't resist it. Have you met my Great Great Great Great Great Great Uncle Ethen Drechsler? He's a cheery soul too (if he had one, that is). From: Damien1 Thorne Let me check my inventory and see if I have his soul. From: Ephraim Kappler Ephraim Kappler chuckles: I doubt it. He sold out a long, long time ago. From: Katheryne Helendale Check Bloodlines' server? From: Damien1 Thorne With all due respect to our resident vamp. From: Ephraim Kappler I suppose I could always submit a support ticket on his behalf? ROFLMAO *wipes blood tears from eyes* Oh, that all had me laughing hard VV

From: Cal Kondo I heard partnered couples will be able to keep their marital beds in PG regions. Of course, the partnering will have to backed up with a certificate from an approved third party wedding service provider. Come to my wedding service, I will offer group rates and a free photo for additional proof.

Seems I did misunderstand if you're talking about 'Bloodlines'. Ole Ethen is just as allergic to that as Holy Water. He does his own thing and even has his own exclusive little kit for transferring the 'infection'. No spam, no points, no database - it's a HUD-driven thing that's purely for play.

Hmmm well you mentioned to Damian, something about Ethen already having sold his soul......as Damian is Prince of the Underworld, I was just wondering whom, if not to Damian, he sold it to? That's why Damian mentioned 'let me check to see if I have his soul.....'

From: Treasure Ballinger ... as Damian is Prince of the Underworld ...' Ephraim Kappler roars laughing: it seems the SL Underworld is somewhat over-subscribed with princelings and monarchs. Some places you can't move for pranging yourself on aristcratic dentristry. I think Ethen might have sold his soul to Morris dancing since Rock 'n' Roll wasn't around in his day.

From: Ephraim Kappler I think Ethen might have sold his soul to Morris dancing since Rock 'n' Roll wasn't around in his day. But on a certain day when the nights are drawing in, the dancers leave work early and take, from attics and cupboards, the other costume, the black one, and the other bells. And they go by separate ways to a valley among the leafless trees. They don't speak. There is no music. It's very hard to imagine what kind there could be.
The bells don't ring. They're made of octiron, a magic metal. But they're not, precisely, silent bells. Silence is merely the absence of noise. They make the opposite of noise, a sort of heavily textured silence.
And in the cold afternoon, as the light drains from the sky, among the frosty leaves and in the damp air, they dance the other Morris. Because of the balance of things.
You've got to dance both, they say. Otherwise you can't dance either.

It's a good thing he can blame the glass clock for his continuity problems. Or else it's a different Jason Ogg doing the Stick and Bucket dance in _Lords and Ladies_.

My SL partner is my RL husband, so I chose 'it's romantic'. My two alts are not partnered to anyone and probably never will be. (But I never say never.)

SL Partner became RL Partner
06-12-2009 21:47
I met my SL Partner at Eros when it was in Crimson back in 2004. Six months later we met in RL. We just RL married in February after living together for 3 years. Soooo... I definitely chose romantic. He's a keeper in both lives though we still live in sin in SL.

I was partnered in SL to the same person I was partnered with in RL. When that relationship ended, it ended in both places. My current partner isn't interested in SL and I've no interest in finding another partner in SL at the moment.

Wish you had an option in the poll yes - with RL partner/spouse
I voted YES - It's complicated (I'll explain in comments)
I am partnered with my RL hubby's AV.
We both signed up for SL to try the game. I liked it and he did not. Since he has signed on mostly so I can show him somthing or just to make me happy. LOL
When I first started playing I had many male AV asking me for sex even thow I had in my profile that I was married in RL and had no interst in online sex.
So I decided to partner with my RL hubby's AV, to see if it would make a difference, well it did! Since our AV"s have partnered I no longer get anyone approaching me and I even removed that I was married in RL in my profile.
I did not pick the option for romance because its really not the reason we partnered in SL since he very rarely plays and we save the romantic stuff for RL LOL

You missed my option: "NO - IT'S TOO COMPLICATED"!
Please whoever programmed that crap into the code: Get rid of the drama reason number one in SL! Or at least allow multiple partners! This is a fantasy world, isn't it? Who wants to roleplay monogamy, jealousy, betrayal and divorce anyway? Don't we have enough of that BS in RL already?

i dont like the idea of sl turning the partnership field into a dropdown list of gangbang partners.

This history (HERstory, in my case) with my partner is probably known to a few of you. I partnered Professorkindly Kline (who I call Hal) after a few weeks of knowing him in sl. I met him ten minutes after he "landed". I suppose I fell in love with him in a very real sense. He is MUCH older than me in a real generational/age concept - he is older than me by 38 years. I took a week to decide to partner him. I am not a monogamous natured person so that was one negotiating point. But he is understanding and VERY real about all this. It is MY issue and I deal with it. It's a real issue for me and has been hard to deal with in real. My inability to have a long-term intimate relationship with ONE lover has been a cause for much lament in real. Hal has been a rock to me. I am profoundly grateful to sl. I am also grateful to my "prof". As he ages I know I must accomodate to his needs. I have lovers and one-night stands in sl. I do not deny that. But Hal is my partner. I don't want anyone else. Just Hal. We have been together for three years. Coz when it's a winter's night and I am exhausted and in a strange city and can't sleep in a strange hotel room and I am rehearsing over and over again in my mind what I do in real, HE is there, a private solace, a friendly non-voice "voice". That's my reasoning. Thanks for letting me share this with you. Jig Chippewa-Kline.

From: Nina Stepford i dont like the idea of sl turning the partnership field into a dropdown list of gangbang partners. Exactly. If people think they see a fast rotation of names happening in partner boxes already, imagine with a multiple partners list would look like.

From: Joshooah Lovenkraft YES - It's with myself (an alt) I'm glad you included this as a choice because otherwise I'd be disappointed I'm the only one that notices. In a certain forum there are even a couple people who have two accounts and try maintaining these fictional partnerships by having the accounts talk about each other. It's really bad roleplay and it's kinda funny and kinda creepy.

From: Nina Stepford i dont like the idea of sl turning the partnership field into a dropdown list of gangbang partners. It makes such a huge difference if you switch partners every 2 weeks... not counting different alts

It's really bad roleplay and it's kinda funny and kinda creepy. Given the forums' 10 question limit on polls, there were all sorts of other variants I wanted to include but figured folks could comment to explain their unique interpretation of partner. I recall reading this one story of a resident who's real life partner tragically passed at a young age of a terminal disease and she recreated his image and would travel about second life spending time with him in spirit. The unique thing is she never did create an alt for him but just took on his form in her explorations. It was a really touching story. Wish I still had the link .. I'll try to find it later.

If partnership was an arbitrary attribute (as in http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1115) then people who wanted to have non-standard partnerships could simply put that in the field.
