Advice on Sales!!

Yup- that's the one- for $899 for 7 days- figured - wth We'll see if traffic picks up. Also, I picked out a least expensive item- to see if it drew folks into the store as well.

There are a lot of items that are in the Xstreet homepage rotation, so you'll probably have to do a lot of page refreshes to see yours. I've had items in it (one currently), and I have occasionally seen mine.

OK - so I have been gifted with some bux to spend and I choose to spend it on promoting the new group... where do i go?

what is the best bet to make these Lindens go far and tell as many peeps about our new group as possible?

How does one promote a group??

Well, I took a look at my transactions page again when SL decided it wasn't going to keep it secret (it was borked for a minutes last night) and that particular transactions had way too many zeros so I gave it back. It was given in good faith but nothing I can think of could use that much advertising

Nonetheless- we do need to get the word spread so everyone who has signed up, please send notes to your groups. As I was looking at it and explaining it to a Designer last night who already has major presence, this is a good thing because it grants de facto access to each others lists. Not literally of course, since the peeps that sing up to each one of us groups aren't opting into a spam list or something, but if we offer membership in Cheap Peeps, and they accept that makes a larger pool of folks that may never have been connected otherwise - you will have access to my group (those that accepted membership in ~Cheap Peeps~) and I - and everyone else too- will now be able to access the others.

It's good for Designers cause it expands our reach- it's good for Consumers 'cause now they get to see stuff they may not have seen before.

Ok can someoen tell me why on earth i didnt join the Fash Con group before O.o I mean seriously i need a kick up the butt!!!!

I joined and sent out my very first notice to thegroup basically inviing them to come visit and giving them an outline of what i sell.

Well I did that less than 24 hours ago. My sales in the last day have far exceeded my sales in the last month. I made back that 1000L fee in around 1/2 hour from sending out the notice, which given that is around 20 sales for me is huge. I am flabbergasted. Absolutely flabbergasted.

I dont knwo if some of thoe sales were attribute to the hunt, i would have to say a few are, but from the name and checking back to see the groups they belong to I am seeing a lot of the fashcon group.

If you sell clothes and other avatar stuffs and havent yet forked out the 1000L fee to join i would suggest seriously conseidering it. If your stuff is quality i think yu will see instant results. With 10,000 members, and over 1/2 of which are active i the last week this is a great great user base to get your name out there.

I am very excited. Only last week I took out my frist amount of money from SL (weee exciting in itself). I am about 1/2 wayback to the point I was to take out money in ONE WEEK!!! That amount took me months to build up before to pull out. I am seriously shocked. Forsomeone like me this is a huge thing. I am a student, i truggle with money a lot, and pulling money out of SL last week was a huge sigh of relief for me cos i could pay a few things off. Now to see imight have that money again in like maybe a month??

Anyone knows if there is such a thing as Fash Con for furniture? My main problem after the move is that I of course lost my search ranking, and that is very clear in revenue. With a bit of time, I will correct that one though.
As for advertising, I want to spend my lindens only on sensible things. Last try has been on the NCI Adnodes network, and it is still to early to tell how those work. But a network like Fash Con might be a wise investment as well. Anyone?

November is historically one of the busiest months and is one of the best times to promote your business above and beyond what you normally do.

I joined Homestyle Consolidated. It seems to be for all types of furnishings but I too would love to know if there is another similar to Fash Con.

Got Deals is another group. Not sure if it is for furniture only - Desiree of Ambiance Interactive Furniture is in that group and could give you more info.

And thanks to Amar, I just joined ~Cheap Peeps~ and I "think" got my first two sales from it within minutes of sending out a notice.

Marcel- I was given the name of Homestyle Consolidated as a major decor group. Don't forget to promote using Cheap Peeps too- it will grow to be a force to be reckoned with!

I managed to get it to stay Open Enrollment although for Designer Tags to send notices you do need to request it from Chami or I.

Re sales- I have had a bunch lately too! I am so thrilled with it all Need to get busy working on holiday stuff!

Re Cheap Peeps- I wrote out a notice to send to Designer I want to invite to the group. Since it is not my group but Chami's I want her to look at it before I send it out. Do start thinking of folks you may be acquainted with in the business community that you feel will benefit and will benefit us all by joining ~Cheap Peeps~

hell is an understatement, yes it is extremely stressful, and I would suggest to anyone who is planning to move to a different country, get a lawyer for the immigration. We tried to do it on our own, and so much red tape and crap it is like wading through a sea of paperwork and confusion.

Rha, I hate that you're having to go through this. I knew someone from Canada who moved to the U.S., went back to Canada for a visit, and then couldn't get back into the U.S. It was one of the most bizarre situations I've ever heard of. I certainly hope this is resolved favorably, and soon.

I joined Fashcon and set up my kiosk, now just to wait till my designer status is updated!

I'm going to hold on to my first announcement till Friday when my grand opening is tho, same for freebies etc., things will be quiet this week lol then on Friday all hell will break loose My first Cheap Peeps announcement will go out on Friday too, and I think they will be happy with me for the weekend

So I actually find myself with some time on my hands!

Re: the Trunk show, I have a group with no one in it except me and an alt, I'm thinking of setting my Romanenko land (if we use that) to that group once the store is down and ppl can join that group/use that tag to set up. Or, can make a new group if ppl think that is better like 'Trunk Show grp' or something bleh I dunno

I'm thinking a very simple format, like a 4 or 5 hour event (trying to give it time coverage for UK and US) where we basiclly bring our box o'stuff, and giving everyone a set # of prims. Any feedback? and if anyone is interested in helping manage this please let me know because I overorganize everything I touch and get lost in details sometimes (I have 3500 items in my inventory! THAT is organization )
