well i beat both of you, designed, photographed, photoshopped added to onrez, slx and my vendors x8, plus posted in the new shopping classified and got a freebie organise, oh and recorded a song with my partner!! lol , phew i was busy

OH!! damn you guys work fast

I just got done putting the stuff together, 9 pairs of slacks, each pair with prim cuffs (yep got them to work woot!), 8 shirts on jacket layer, shirt layer, underwear layer, shirt and jacket layers X 2 because the shirt has 2 options...
(shirts and pants, completely hand drawn in photoshop, I used to do photo sourcing awhile back, been about a year or so since I did, I LOVE doing it totally by hand, reminds me of painting hehe)

AND a pair of shoes, with color change bows, and shine control via script, optional heel click/sexy walk that can be turned on or off at the touch of the shoe...
AND 2 new numnum bears

who has time to actually take pics to make the ads LOL
THAT will come tomorrow, going shopping tonight for my birthday gift (new vid card for the pc and maybe more memory)

so.... I hope to get the card at least, then I can work just a tiny bit faster hehe (yeahhh right)

I"m working slow...about 10 outfits with 2 prim skirts and 4 layers, and 8 pairs of trousers...no prim cuffs, no fancy stuff...just simple clothes.

hehehe goodness no, im on to my next adventure, putting all those things i made and put in a folder for fixing up at a later date. So know i have to go and put it all together and start the process all over again, arrghhhhhh. I just put on my music and get to work. mm i think i have two wedding dresses, 4 tops and pants, i have 4 new designs i have been fiddling with on my desktop and a folder thats my wish list waiting to be made. I think i need to write a list.....

Ooooh does anyone know where to get that script which gives you the copy or transfer options upon buying???

I would really like to find it but I cant seem to.

Someone mentioned a place using them so i went there and inspected the script. But there was no info....

So, a question. How do you get blogged? How many "review copies" and notecards are "too many"? How do you know when to give up sending notecards requesting a blogger check out your shop? What is the magic formula to getting your stuffed mentioned on a blog?

WEll you get blogged by a blogger either finding your store or you sending them a folder of samples for them to try and thm liking them and blogging them. I likely would never send a folder more than once in like 3 months. I figure if they didnt like my stuff the first time you know? But if there are several writers on the same blog i might try a couple.

I dont think you can get anyoe to try th stuff in your stoe or to blog it.

My stuff was mentioned on freestyle the first time i sent out some sample to creamy but i doubt that happens all the time

I guess my questions were more a rhetorical rant than actual questions. Just a bit of frustration. another rhetorical question, is there a designer blacklist and am I on it?!?

I was also blogged on another blog, which I have since lost the url to, as it was before my PC decided to give up the ghost... anywho she blogged me because she wanted to, she said she loves my stuff (was a japanese blog, so I had to translate it) hehe

Well I bummed about tonight- explored the Ivor Tower and set up a workshop in a better location - bf put up a gorgeous skybox for me and proceeded to re-texture the floors cause damn- black is nice and goth and all but some of us don't see so well in the dark . So he had fun learning and doing and iset out tools and my work space and photog area. After that we went exploring.

Oh- and guys after a billion years it seems on SLExchange- I had an actual sale thru them. All my sales til now how been OnRez and the store it self.

And im setting up a small store on Jo's sim to see what happens there. It is free for two weeks so well worth trying for me i think

Rhianna - you have lots of good advice in here so far.. here's a few of my tips:

- YES private land is a must, there are lots of good rental agencies out there who deal in lindens only, so you don't need a premium account. But you need a spot for your Main Store.

- Malls are good advertising. I move in and out of malls constantly, keeping between 10-20 stores open in malls. Put up a LM giver very in a highly visiible spot in your mall stalls for your main store.

- Put yourself in Classifieds and in Places. Use some rarely seen keywords (but common enough that people may use them in searches) if you have keywords that are easily butchered by people typing to fast, use the typo versions as well.

- Use your friends. That's what they you have them for. Give them free copies of your stuff and beg them to put them in their homes, wear it to clubs and the like. People are always looking for new objects and clothes, if your friends pop in somewhere wearing something unique and someone likes it they may ask for the name of the store. Personally I love C-Tech Fetish Boots, I'm always giving out that LM when people tell me they like my boots, and I don't even know the designer for C-Tech.

- Socialize with new crowds, viral marketing works very well in SL. Meet new people chat with them, tell them what you do, give them LM's to your store when they ask (but don't spam). I find many cool new stores by chatting with people who pass me their store LM's.

- Give, give, give. I donate tons of animations I do for things like the BCAM events in world, for holiday treasure hunts, etc. Give copies of your stuff to people who will use them for prizes for contests, raffles, etc.

- Don't expect to make lots of money. I started out just wanting to make animations that were entertaining to me and different that other people's tastes. I never thought I was going to become a 'success' so when my store took off it was a very pleasant suprise. Just make what you want for yourself. If popularity and financial gain follows, consider it a bonus.

Hi Patasha thanx for the tips, i have my main store now finally i rent a small spot of land from a lovely lady named Gina Dawn, she owns Sunset Arts and Sunset Arts 2. My store is located on Sunset Arts 2.

I have 2 mall spaces, one in the Monkey mall i get free and also one in Sunset Estates but if you can reccomend some good mall places i'd be interested as i'm looking for a new place. I have a classified but i love the idea of typos i always make mistakes hehe so that's a great tip

I don't actually have many friends on my list, i have a couple i've met through here but most of mine are from when i was in Gor but i do give out samples to people i meet when i get to know them a little and i do get a few compliments on my clothing which makes my day i can tell ya

One of my downfalls is i can be shy with people i don't really know and i'm working on that lol. I'm actually trying to get a job in a club to help me overcome this

PHEW! I've been scrambling to get my new stuff ready for the sidewalk sale, it's done and up and advertised and now I get to relax! or...finish that coat I've been working on

Someone asked about malls and if you guys get a chance you really should swing by Floating Comet and take a look around. Lots of great designers there, and perks! Like this sidewalk sale for example or an upcoming fashion show (last part of September). It's not my mall, I just park there, but I love it! Once I found it I had to go back like 5 times before I found a spot hehe but I'm glad I did.

And Mickey, that sweater is released today at the sidewalk sale only, if your friend is still interested, let her know (I put an ad in classifieds new products).

ok, the coat! I would love to get it done before this sale ends hehe

I tookthe place down the end of the walk way from the tram stop near where they do the market place concerts. There is a nice one on the other side of the walk way fromme if i remeber correctly.

I thought it was a good pace cos they have the concerts there at leat once a week so hopefully someone might notice my stuff

Folks it is an awesome deal. 100 prims free for 2 weeks So i would make the time to take Jo up on her offer. The area is really pretty too and the traffic seemed great
