heheh i went and checked out cheree's vendors too, i love her poses, damn you cheree i bought some more, lol. So worth it though

I am doing the same thing , i have the photos ready to be photoshopped and then putting them into vendors, joy oh joy.

Eclectic.... mute and ignore the accusers. keep your stuff out. enjoy SL and keep on building. everyone in SL is either inspired by another SL project, or a RL one. you have done nothing wrong. take down the sign and put your freebie back. chin up and move past this.

Thanks for the compliments. And thanks for testing my vendors for me. I always worry when I make major changes to those vendors since I do all my own scripting and those vendors are the major portion of my SL income. I had toyed with the idea of a group rebate in my inidvidual pose vendors for some time. It was this thread that finally prompted me to go ahead and code it.

I enjoyed talking to both of you yesterday, as well as several others who came to help me. It is so nice getting to meet the people behind the names. Surreal has been a customer of mine for a while now, but we had never met. We had a great conversation, and I look forward to future ones.

well i think i might just pack up shop after tonights fun. Someone posted on a group of theirs that i stole their item and am selling it as my own.

I never did that... i would never ever do that. But ihave had a bunch of people yelling at me calling me a thief... telling me i use copy bot. What is the bloody point.

I work had on my creations. I do not steal. Yes i use others pieces to get ideas... to see what i can improve or do different. The two items are similar but at the same time very different

*sighs* And it was actually a freebie I have out. Well i took it don and replaced it with a sign stating the freebie had been removed cos a creator thought they had the intellectual rights to all items anythign like his (yes i know bad idea... ill take in down in a bit when i calm down)

In addition to the awesome poses, what really stood out for me and set your shop apart were the red "theatre type" curtains around each vendor PLUS that I could click on the curtains to move to the next pose. This allowed me to keep my cam focused on my AV without having to cam in and out to click the bottom advance buttons.

But those curtains really give the shop a great ambiance!!!

You should have seen my first store. Imagine a blue skybox with bright pink and red vendors. OMG, I hope I purged all that from my inventory.

I would like to publicly thank Greg Paslong here for kicking me in the butt and making me make my shop look more professional. Sometimes you just need someone else to look at what you have built and be honest when they tell you what they think. Which is what started this epic thread to begin with, huh?

ABSOLUTELY!!! Exactly what I said- I think you should market the vendors themselves- it is a major annoyance when shopping to have to go thru the constant camming!

I have mixed feelings about this. I like that my vendors are unique. So I'm not sure if I would want to sell them and provide an easy way for others to have what I have.

On the other hand, if I do not sell them, someone else may make something similar and sell their own.

On another note: Honey? Have you thought maybe about a treasure hunt which takes place at all of our stores?? This could be a load of fun. They start off on your sim and pick up a few things. The last one has a LM to the next store where they find an item or two then a LM to the next store etc etc?? Anyway just a thought if you like the idea.

Unless it is pixel for pixel or prim for prim, there is no way it would be considered copy botted
hell if just having similar items would mean that it is stealing a lot of clothing, furniture and jewelry creators not to mention everything else would be out of business
