But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Hi Threapoles- First off- an apology for the rant last night - the content I stand by, but the phrasing was uncalled for. No excuses, I could have essentially said it didn't matter who wrote what since it wasn't a contest and there is no reason it shouldn't be written by someone who cares for the subject in particular. I did not have to digitally scream at people - a contrite apology for the delivery. That said, I would not want to be the target of Pep's "getting back at" From: Pep .... if wanted, I am quite happy to get my own back by writing something excruciating about her for the calendar. - but he can wax most eloquent, as you have all seen by now. (Not worried, I know he is rather fond of me ) Re Vamp - was wondering that myself.. can some one loosen my bonds please, my wrists are getting numb and I think he left me tied somewhere about a month back if not more. Carpe diem

Good Morning Threadies,
As to the calendar, I will happily write and submit a blurb for each month. I will then submit my blurbs to the editor assembling the calender and that person can chose to apply my blurbs to the photos or not.
I would like to suggest the other volunteers do the same.
If you would like for me to provide my eloquence to your photo I will happily do so. Please submit the photo to me and I will pass my comments along in the form of a notecard to the calendar editor. Same deadline applies, I need your photo by August 15th. The earlier you submit the more time I will have and the better the blurb will be.
If you do not wish to have me do your blurb then do not give me a photo. I will have the blurbs ready for the editor on the evening of the 18th.

Perhaps I should formally audition for one of the "Calendar Commentator" roles to see if I have gauged the tone of the publication accurately. I haven't seen Amaranthim and Allegria's photo, but a little imagination suggests the following might be appropriate: From: Pep Amaranthim appears prominently in the foreground, wearing (as you might have guessed) one of her own creations ("Enslaved" - $450 - Available at all three Talon Faire locations, OnRez and SLExchange; guerrilla advertising? surely not!) which features an elevated Greek bustline and skirt split to the oxter. She has saved on texture costs and prim count by using hardly any material. Allegria can be seen in the far distance (as posed by Amaranthim) with what looks like a dumpster on her head - and she is upside down, presumably as an allegory (!) for the ambiguity and duality implicit in a reality/virtual environment. Or maybe Amaranthim went on another rant during the shoot . . . Pep (Wondering if he is still her friend)

Pep (Wondering if he is still her friend) Darling- I may have to take up flying in order to cross the Atlantic and personally introduce you to my infamous 2 x 4 - Now get Allie out of that dumpster right quick! For your information Mister- we can handle our own posings! Hrmph! Allie- come on- there's a certain someone in need of a little attitude adjustment. Pep, I love you- you are a rat. Fortunately I am fond of rodentia.

From: Allegria Kanto I was wondering why your name seemed so familiar... We met at one of CX's pool parties. Belated welcome to the thread! Thank you for your welcome - and I would point out that in my imagination it was Amaranthim who put you in the dumpster . . . Pep (I would not be so cruel to someone to whom I had not been formally introduced)

OMG! when i read that, i totally got a lump in my throat. in the video, it shows he was able to slow down before he went over. thank goodness. i don't even want to image how badly he'd have been hurt if he'd have gone over at full speed. that is so unfortunate for Augustyn. hope you had a quiet day off from the forums! wb. From: Kaimi Kyomoon Rushing in after a busy day of doing...um...I must have been doing something... Stage 16 of le Tour de France today went over the highest road in Europe, the second of two beyond catagory climbs on a 157km, 97.6mile course. There were attacks and counter attacks all day. At the summit of the final climb a lead group of 10 riders went over the top about two minutes ahead of a group containing the leaders of the overall competition. The rest of the field were spread out behind on the the brutal 40km climb. The riders flew down the narrow twisting road on the the 25km final descent at speeds of up to 100km/hour. Most came in safely. Not so lucky was John-Lee Augustyn, the first man over the final summit. On the way down he missed a bend and went flying over the edge of the mountain onto a very step slope, slippery with loose gravel. With the assistance of a spectator he was able to get back onto the road, more or less unhurt but his bike was unrecoverable halfway down the mountain. A rider on the South African team, Barloworld, which has only 4 men left in the race, Augustyn had no choice but to wait for his team car to arrive with a back-up bike. Losing his chance for a top ten finish. Check out the video http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IPdNfsf4Z5c American Christian Vendevelde also was delayed by a crash on the final descent and slipped back to come in 24th today and fall from 5th to 6th place in the overall standings. Frank Schleck remains in first place overall. Frenchman Cyril Dessel of team AG2R won the stage.

so, there's this cat that's been hanging around. previously starving but now filled out nicely because i've been feeding it. i didn't know it if was feral or domestic. it would let me close, but never enough to touch. last night i discovered it was a female. this known, because she is now in heat. this known based on her behavior. behavior being that she NEEDS me to touch her all the time and trying to get me to mate with her. LOL as far as i can tell, she is still a kitten. possibly 5 months or so. i will let the vet tell me her best guess. anyway, i actually held her and was able to put her in a crate (against her will, but i managed). she is now locked up in the spare bedroom with all the necessities until i can get her to the vet to have her fixed. clearly, she is not wild. but she is homeless (perhaps). so anyway, now i have this 4th cat in my house, who seems to be sweet once past the distrusting stages. my 3 cats are none too pleased at the moment. once she is fixed and gets shots, etc... when i find out sh is healthy and safe to be around my cats, do i keep he and foster her until she can be adopted, or do i just adopt her? do i really need another cat?

3 - Sadly, some people never realize there really is a need for people to have cats We are dog people at home- but I always had cats prior to husband who is definitely not cat-people. But as one who has cleaned multiple-cat sandboxes.... I would suggest you try and find her a home. Someone is in need of a kitty I am sure. Good luck and ur a sweety for helping her out.
