I'd like to publicly thank Miss Marianne McCann for a really, really fantastic fireworks show at our harbor last night. GREAT job, Mari!
And thanks to all of you who came, too. I hope you enjoyed yourselves. I certainly did...I even made a couple of new Friends. Amazing, really. I was in so many IMs that any one person just HAD to feel I was ignoring them. My apologies to anyone who did feel that way.
I'd post pics on Flickr, but I bet Mari will beat me to it, and with better ones, too.
For those of you who missed it, Mari told me she's doing another show at Livingtree on July 4. Time is not nailed down, but likely 8 pm SL.
/me takes a hit from Maureen's coffee mug, a bite out of Elora's bagel, scoops up a banana and is out the door and down the road.

Midland/Odessa, Texas Unemployment rate at 2.6% No mudslides No Earthquakes No state income tax Texas is on it's own power grid We do get some grass fires on occasion, but nothing anywhere near the scale of the SoCal wild fires. _____________________

There are a few texans here, but mostly Mexicans on their way to Oklahoma
From Odessa, the closest natural lake is about 150 Miles. 400 miles to the Gulf and 1200 miles to an ocean (just a wild guess there). The burning pits of hell are just 150 feet down tho. Average percipitation is 12" a year. Ya gotta take the bad with the good ... _____________________

A Ding-Dong(tm) is a chocolate cake that looks a bit like a hockey puck. It has a thin chocolate shell that tastes sort of like cardboard, and also has a cream filling. Twinkies are OK, especially if you put 'em in the freezer for a while...but IMO Ding-Dongs are just vile. _____________________
