That guitar just goes straight through your soul, doesn't it? Dire Straights have the cleanest sound.

I spent the rest of the night watching video of them playing Wembley Stadium. I can't believe how good they were. It just blew me away. I used to love them back in the day, but for some reason I hadn't listened to them in ages. It was a weird feeling rediscovering something like that.

Yeah we have had it WAAAAAY to good up to now, usually this time of year rains pretty constantly which it's why it's such a great time for a tennis championship

Is a ding dong a type of american biscuit? I've heard of twinkies but not ding dongs
Not a biscuit (note to U.S.ers I think she means what we would call a cookie) more of a cake. All these things that they're talking about are really quite disgusting to any one who enjoys real baked goods made with butter. And when they say "cream" filling they are using the word very loosely. It is actually some sort of aerated petroleum product with a shelf live of about 6000 years.

After scents nothing evokes memories and past emotions like music.

True. Hostess(R) snack cakes are like sausage...if you know what goes into them, you'd never eat them.

They do keep forever and ever, though. I'm sort of hoping that if I eat enough of them, a few years down the road people will tell me I'm "well preserved".

3Ring...is "Fairy Tale Town" anything like the Kingdom of Far, Far Away?

Yummm sounds perfectly delicious - incidentally there's an ongoing spat in the UK about what constitutes a cake and what constitutes a biscuit - the issue is all about tax, cakes are taxed differently to biscuits so believe it or not there are literally millions and millions of pounds at stake as the UK biscuit market is quite a large one

Marks and Spencers recently had a tea cake re-classified as a biscuit - it created a precedent

Sorry I got it the wrong way round - the teacake was incorrectly classified as a biscuit.

And Good morning! Only three days until the start of the Tour de France! I'm getting pretty excited. I don't know if any of you would like to look at a very short video I made at the Tour of California in February:http://kaimis.com/video/MVI_4432.html

Thanks, Kaimi! Great video.

But hey...I thought "it never rains in Southern California" :D

Midland/Odessa, Texas
Unemployment rate at 2.6%
No mudslides
No Earthquakes
No state income tax
Texas is on it's own power grid
We do get some grass fires on occasion, but nothing anywhere near the scale of the SoCal wild fires.

I've not been to Texas yet (not counting layovers in airports :)); it's on my list of places to go!

Texans are among the best people on the planet.

I lived in Houston for six months as a transplanted cajun and had a great time.

It isn't as big as they make it out to be, I drove from Orange to El Paso on I-10 and only wore out one car. (783 miles)

I have been all over the whole state from Orange to El Paso, down to Laredo and over to Del Rio. I have been down to Bay City and Corpus Christi. Traveled across from Alamogordo NM to Midland / Odessa, to Amarillo and back down to Dallas Ft. Worth. It is all good.
