Hey Rha, one of the girls that rent my skybox on a 512 parcel sent me an im to tell me she bought the fatpack of the Darjaleeng dresses. (which is why she couldn't afford my rent this week). :D

Rebecca's campaign was to drive a wedge between a group of friends and to try to cause as much pain and suffering as possible. It had nothing to do with CX or Garrett or me or you or anyone else. She just wants to create dissent and she wants to destroy people's happiness. Some people are like that. Unfortunately, she appears to have succeeded.

actually, it didn't work. not at all. i was harboring some icky feelings that i only dared bring forth in response to YOUR posting. she happened to pop in there in the middle, and i read it and agreed to it, but her opinion weighs about as heavily as a feather off a newborn robin... nil. she ain't off the hook with me, that's for sure.

so sad that people are so miserable in life, that they feel they must spread it around like so much manure. but whatever. i take no stock in her rants. she can drop dead, or live in misery, i don't care.

/enigma on: and not just for green hair, but also to the people who harbor anger and misery for different reasons... i wish you people would quit taking your anger out on us. we don't deserve it. and whoever i am talking to knows exactly who i mean, and what i mean.

i didn't do it to you. he didn't do it to you. she didn't do it to you. quit punishing us for it. /enigma off

things is back to normal mostly.... anything i questioned was brought about by the party(s) involved, and it has been resolved in my mind. in the end, the outcome is what it is, and so be it.

A few thoughts:

1) If you are going to go on a rampage against scammers, you have to take on the whole world. SL has its scam artists, but so does the rest of the internet, and anywhere money is exchanged. It's no worse or better here than anywhere else.

2) The 20K issue got way too dramatic. Maybe it was a safe moment where people could blow off some emotional steam, rather than focusing on health issues, global warming, the crumbling stock market or gas prices. That's the only way I can rationalize why some folks reacted so strongly to a non-issue.

3) Most everyone here is good people. People who sometimes need to read more Eckhart Tolle, but good people nonetheless.

4) Just because the thread has been wacky the last few days doesn't mean it should die.

5) Maybe it should die anyway. But it's not for me to demand that it cease to be. That's Rha's job. :)

/me likes Eckhart Tolle,
not always able to apply his teachings cause I am fricking human though.
Sort of in angry mode right now, more at myself.
This week not because of thread or anything outside of me but my insides have been bit of high drama.
I realize it is creating my view of world at the moment.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Folks, friends, .. yes, friends...

I think it's time to let this thread die. Seriously. Just let it all go. Do whatever you need to do in order to resolve differences, but do it elsewhere. This thread is now burned toast. It's toxic. Abandon it. It's unbecoming of everything the Cartel is about, and everything the broader SL community is about.

In with anger, out with love.

Nope - many of us are already all good again. The thing about good friends is this: we can fight really hard, but in the end many of us can smile, shake hands, hug and still be friends. I have had PM conversations with many involved in the bitter discussions and many of us are able to agree to disagree and still be friends. That is one of the great things about the people of this thread.

I have been listening to his books and talks in traffic every day for the last seven years and I still have a really hard time just being in the now. It's not easy to convince the ego to renounce future and the planning mind.

Of all his talks, my favorite is "Through the Open Door to the Vastness of Your True Being". The second disc contains a great summation of his teachings. You can find it on Amazon. :)

I keep getting caught up with my ills and all the stuff that goes on with my personal story.
It like my personal story keeps repeating it's self to prove once more of how much of big victim I am and how nothing will ever go right.
I had this personal inspiration to away of coping instead of running from it facing it and put it in actual build that I am doing the Dungeon Tree of souls its all those stories inside my head that keep manifesting themselves in ways that cause very deep sadness inside me.
It is for myself I don't know if anyone else will get the stories.
When I have it all done I hope to set it on fire but not sure figure I can't fight it by ignoring it so I have to face those stories and figure out how to take the power away from them for something else to move on.
I have known I had certain calling like Eckhart Tolle did but all my personal stories keep getting in the way.

The fact that you are not fully identified with your stories and can look at it from the perspective of the witnessing consciousness is a great thing. It means there is space for you to just be here now without the weight of them anytime you choose. :)

It reminds me of a story: A man was starving so he started imagining he had food. In his fantasy, he was in a market and bought a bushel of red peppers. When he began eating them, he realized they were hot peppers and he began to sweat and turn red. A man saw him sitting there sweating and asked him what the matter was. The hungry man told him the dream he was having and how hot the peppers were. The man asked, "Why don't you just think about ice cream or fruit instead?" The red-faced man replied, "Because I paid for the peppers."

We have a lot invested in our thoughts. But if they don't serve us or make us happy, why keep revisiting them?

I think there has been several shifts within my consciousness before Eckhart Tolle there were other teacher's that inspired me too to change how I saw things.
Addiction is anything that causes suffering because of the attachment or not having access to the desired whatever you're attached too.
It not easy shift for some people to just think about the ice cream or fruit when faced with the attachment to having to eat the hot peppers.
For lot of people more they don't want to do certain type of behavior or thought worse that becomes it not always easy just to suddenly wake up choose other thoughts or behaviors.
Often there is lesson there and purpose for those things, just denying the attachment and using one imagination for something else that isn't true may feel good but eventually the reality of what we are avoiding is still there just as large in fact larger then when we avoid it in first place.
Sometimes in order to change something one must become the observer and study the role it has in one's life....
Reprogramming the garbage within one's mind or consciousness isn't just simple as put in right codes and words sometimes something else needs to be done to cleanse it out.
Sometimes it requires fact finding investigation deeper as observer.
Just a personal opinion.

Yes, it was a non-issue, with non-facts, devoid of any information to indicate what really happened. Yet still, people were happy to jump to conclusions, get all upset and sling mud around - this is not a consequence of the post deletion (a potentially random event), but a window into people's minds. If people had real positive information that contradicted their natural view, it would have made no difference at all.

SPOILER >>>>>>>
Macphisto was the first person to reach 20k. I saw it. And then I deleted two posts (just as I deleted one around the 5k post), it was interesting to see what followed. <<<<<<<

Gor blimey guv'nor, you got me bang to rights again! :)

I expected there to be some minor confusion, that would very quickly get laughed off. But no... not with a whole $70 at stake! Imagine what people would do for $30,000!

Anyway, I am fairly sure that given this information now, some of the people who expressed various ill-feelings in this thread can now happily say to themselves "Oh - it was him, it was all his fault that I made those posts and reacted in the way I did, he even chose the words and typed them out for me, so he did, he even drank my tea for me...".

Anyway, I guess it is time for me to make a move from this thread... I might be back in August, oooh, let's say 1st August.. that date seems to have a nice ring to it...
