Joseph's Dad is in the hospital. He's recovering, but will take time to heal. Joseph is spending lots of time with him as is everyone here in spirit. Any spare good thoughts and healing energies you can muster and send his way are appreciated.

I have to say Rhaorth I am disappointed that you decided to shop where you did. Even more so that you needed to tell us about it. Had you done it and kept it to yourself I would not have felt to need to voice my opinion. I recognise your right to shop where you want but in my opinion people who choose blatantly unethically operating businesses over ethically operating ones are supporting unethical practices. I may get slammed for this but I feel strongly about it.
I have decided that the only power I have to exercise is my choice and I have decided not to buy your products in addition to those stores who carry out these practices. I realise how little a monetary impact that will have btw, it is not my intent to have a monetary impact. I would not respect myself if I did not take a stand on what I beleive. It does not mean however that it does not make me sad to do so.

I will not buy from SL businesses I know or feel to be unethical nor buy products those who I know support them in any way.

I am with Brenda on the duct tape. As a photographer I called it "Gaffers Tape", as a sailer it was "Rigging Tape", as VW owner is it an emergency fan belt and as a race car driver it is "Racers Tape".

Duct tape is like the Force, it has a light side and a dark size and it binds the universe together. (apologies if some one already posted this)

The other most used tape in my inventory is white waterproof bandage tape on 2" wide rolls. My sailboat was covered with the stuff.

There's taking a stand, Gabriele, and there's respecting the wishes of others to shop where they damn well please. You can be disappointed in their decision making, but I reckon it's unfair to call them out on it like this.

If Rhaorth did not want comments about it then she should not have posted on it. When you post something you should expect comments. Just like you have the right to comment on what I said. I feel you are unfair to call me out as well.

Maybe they don't give a stuff about traffic gaming, maybe they do. I just don't think the finger wagging is fair. It's a bit fundamentalist to expect others to boycott such stores just because you do.

Neither Brenda or Rhaorth announced that they purchased from Phil's store purely to land a blow on the anti-traffic gaming crusaders. They were just talking about low-prim furniture. If celebrating the marketing methods of the store had been their stated motive for posting, you would have been more justified in responding with your opposition rhetoric. In my opinion.

Duct tape! A few days ago, I was at a store and saw a wallet made out of duct tape.

A work of art. Although some of that tape looks suspiciously like electrical tape, not duct tape. But they're kissing cousins, no doubt.

the "official" duct tape wallet is farggin expensive. I don't get that. You *make* a wallet out of duct tape when you don't have the money to buy a new one. Which might seem like it would negate the necessity of a wallet at all, but it doesn't due to all the plastic one must carry.

Considering you get to have a final word on this, then so do I - to you at least. Yes I did make those statements and I have a right to do that. How hypocritical of you to think that you are fine to comment on others about their behaviour (and I am not just talking about with me but anyone who you have negatively expressed an opinion on) but that I cannot. I could understand if it were Rhaorth telling me this but it is not even anything to do with you. However I do not tell you that you cannot have an opinion do I?
You are making this far worse than it needs to be.
I do not hate Rhaorth, nor Brenda. I like them both a lot in fact though I will understand if either of them no longer like me because of my stance. Take some perspective here, I am not shopping at Rhaorth's store, I did not say I was taking out a personal vendetta against her or stalking her. I criticised a choice she made and then made one of my own which I should be entitled to do on a public forum. I expect the choices that I choose to post about to be up for scrutiny both in a positive light and a negative light also and expect to defend them if necessary. If we cannot take any criticisms then we may as well not discuss anything here.
