Is it wrong of me to feel jealousy towards the deviant thread? I feel it's in competition.:o

Oh no competition there. It's a one trick pony ;)

We have a few forum men that could use some help from the ladies - Brann and I commented last night that we need to take Trout shopping so he has more than that one black and grey/white shirt to wear (even if it is a really nice shirt).

Road trip!:)

You make me sound like the alpha metrosexual of these parts, when I'm clearly far too dark and mysterious for such a label.

oh darn. :D Bending Amara over a nearby table, forcefully but carefully twisting one arm up behind her back. Tying a bit of rope around her wrist, pulled tight and looping it under the table, up from the other side, thru the crook of her elbow and tying it all down tight.

...to be continued...

What good would he be? He'd just stay down there playing computer games, and turn into a 35 year old who has never seen a real girl, spend all his money on Comic Books and probably murder me in my sleep.

It's the circle of life.

Sally - I know you're lurking out there. Thanks for the dance! The live music at ther hangout yesterday was fantastic! We have to start getting live music in on a regular basis.

Ugh - Monday morning. Bleah. I'm run-down, tired, achy and congested. Plus, this is my last week at my job before I take a two day working vacation - Saturday and Sunday - and start the new gig on Monday. I must be some kind of masochist. At any rate, they're treating me like I have leprosy here. I can't even get a good morning out of people I thought were my friends. I'll be glad when this week is over. I have a lot of loose ends to wrap up, or I'd be bailing out of here, spending the week riding around on the motorcycle, hiking, fishing and enjoying the sun, and they could just dock my last check if they didn't like it.

At least I'm going somewhere where they really want me and are happy to have me there. It's a positive change! I can't wait. My new office is only a block away from a really fantastic farmer's market and a block in the other direction from the boardwalk on the bay. It's a great location, and I get to go to work with a friend I've known for quite a while now. Very exciting. Overall, despite the crap here and my summer cold, things are very positive!

Don't worry, it's starting to Peter out........I'm keeping my deviance here from now on.

And what's the deal with the expressions, "for Pete's sake", or "for the love of Pete" - do these reference St. Peter?

You are a woman's dream when it comes to men that know how to shop.
:)

Trout's idea of shopping is to play with the unmentionables in my purse while I try on clothes.
:p

Maybe if we are shopping for him, it might be a better experience for him.

I'm ok with a shopping trip.

The deal with that outfit is I've made it my default outfit. I was wearing my skeleton bird avatar earlier because I showed up to the music event with Lindal who was a tiger. It was sort of a joke. She was a tiger and I was "leftovers". At any rate, I end up wearing that outfit a lot because when I change avatars, I just hit that folder and in addition to the outfit, it has hair, shape, AO's, various Huds, etc. I actually do have other outfits.

As for shopping, my idea of shopping is 5 minutes looking for clothes, 1/2 hour looking at airplanes and then dancing/beer/general mayhem. Speaking of airplanes, thanks to Lindal! She pointed me towards a seller of the goofiest, micro-airplanes around. I have a Fokker Triplane that is impossibly small and cartoonish now, and I had a blast flying it around last night. I think I can even take a passenger.

(Before you say it, I know, I know. "Those Fokkers was flyin' Messerschmidts!!)

Well, don't know about those, but for "Peter out", I thought it was in reference to saltpeter, which used to be thought to kill sexual desire ;)

Peter Frampton.

Hehe. My friend and I chased his limo down 7th Avenue after a concert in Madison Square Garden in NYC in the 70's. What a dork I was but, he used to be so cute back then.

it always sucks to find out who people "really" are and which ones aren't really your friends. disappointing. that's why i show so little interest in making new ones. very few are ever who they pretend to be in the beginning. *sigh*

Yep - but there's two sides to everything. In this case, when a friend heard through the grapevine that I was unhappy where I am now, he jumped right on the phone and dragged me over to his place to put together a deal where I could go work with him instead. It feels good to have someone really want you to come work with them, and to have them respect the work you do.

Plus, I get to outfit a new office. I'm shopping for furniture this week. I'm getting the high prim stuff. :p
