That is too bad about George Carlin, especially for his family and close friends
It's been a while since I have seen him around. I will remember him fondly.

His records were off limits. Me and my cousin would go in his room.. turn it way down and laugh our butts off. A place for my stuff was one that I remembered most from then.

He had a great wit. He and Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby were my favorites back then.

Later Eddie Murphy joined that group.

Oh God. This is the first I've heard of this.

I was lucky enough to meet him twice (he had a house near Marina Del Rey so I'd see him in local restaurants). The first time I didn't disturb his dinner, but as he was getting into his car, I drove by and said "Hey, George, thanks for all the laughs." He waved and smiled.

The other time was at a casual breakfast place. Someone asked for an autograph and after I asked him if it bugged him that he didn't know everybody, but everybody knew him. He just shrugged and said, "Not really". A very sweet man.

Goodbye George. Thanks for all the laughs.

p.s. My son was born in Saint Johns, the hospital George died in.

Whats odd is, I cried like a girl when Gary Gygax died. With George Carlin, I'm just sad about it. Weird.
