Ew. Why would I want half a woman?
I don't know, Tom Hanks didn't seem to mind.

BTW, if you look closely at her hand, you can see exactly what Madison thinks of your anti-mermaid bigotry. :p

Glad you're hanging in there. And how are the dance classes going? :)
They are actually quite fun, but very much a workout. Tonight I went to a Zumba class at the same studio -- with is basically aerobic dance and stretching to Latin music. I almost died before class ended - though I really did need something to help get me back in shape.

The SL Blog features a blah blah posting about a marketing agency using Second Life as a design tool to mock up a trade show space for Dow Chemicals. https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/workinginworld/blog/2010/01/21/prototyping-environment-in-sl-for-dow-chemical-three-questions-with-robert-emory-from-scott-miller-group

I really want to leave a comment telling people to go visit it in-world but leave the slurl to here: http://world.secondlife.com/place/2a690d1d-2a14-1c63-926a-dfe82bc44e94

I'll probably get in shit though.

It's a virtual recreation of the Bhopal disaster in India at a pesticides industrial plant run by Union Carbide, now owned by Dow Chemicals. Twenty six years later, there are still chemicals abandoned there, ongoing lawsuits in the US and the former Chairman of Union Carbide faces manslaughter charges in India.

Um, Josh . . . do you mind if I do more or less this? Except, without the trickery: I'll make sure it is noted where the Bhopal slurl goes.

Union Carbide was truly reprehensible, and Dow, as the new owner, has to take some responsibility for the ongoing environmental cleanup, if not for the compensation for the deaths of as many as 35,000 people.

Oh sure be my guest. I probably would have actually done it had it been a spotlight on Dow Chemicals specifically, but since it was just talking about the firm working on their trade show I figure I'm too lazy to even be a slacktivist. :o

I decided to play around with making animated gifs again and went back for a stroll in the forest. I took multiple images in a not so static pose while changing the time of day slightly using the environment editor. I wanted to show the interesting transitions in light that you see there. There are 18 frames in this gif and I'm sure there are ways to make the transitions smoother but I haven't figured that out yet nor am I that great with PS. It's still fun to play with, although I'd really like to improve my PS skills as it seems to take me forever to do even the simplest of things.

Fantastic!

I think a group photo should be in this thread's future. I know... I know... logistically difficult but I am game! I mean, it is possible... if a big chunk of Arizona was under a Tornado watch tonight I am convinced anything is possible.

TY! And I think a big group photo would be an EXCELLENT idea!!! We might have to do some a bit of cutting and pasting though but what a fun idea.

We could even stick in the conversation manager and make a Where's Wallace? poster.

I'm curious what his avatar looks like. I wonder if he went with the boring corporate look like M did.
