Lol...I was just thinking, would it be horrible or funny if all of us women showed up in the same gown? :D

And that is why I never post info about my attire or where I get it until after an event.

I'm not sure how many minutes of sunshine we get, but Denver averages 300 sunny days a year, which is pretty surprising given the amount of snow we also usually get.
It is, Lil.

Didn't feel the quake here at all, as I'm about 3 hours to the north. From the news reports, looks like damage was minimal, for which I'm glad.
Amen.

Josh's super exciting home videos!
12-30-2009 22:34
Okay so a bit of false advertising but I made a little video home tour of my new house. I wanted to see if I could shoot video with my settings maxed out on ultra using this pretty easy to use gaming video capture software called Xfire. It's really easy to use and does all the encoding for you and uploads it to their website with only a bit of degradation in quality. Easy peasy with just a few clicks. I'm lazy so it's raw unedited footage.

The house is still a bit of work in progress until the prims runs out and I'm making some other little house and gardening projects. One day when I stop being so lazy, I might actually get around to packaging some of my crap to put up for sale but I sorta just enjoy the building part. The business stuff is too much like real life and is monotonous and annoying.

Welcome to my house. Please come in! http://www.xfire.com/video/1d10c4/ (watch it full screen for the best quality)

Okay... so I sent a note to another (non-SL) forum to which I belong, holiday wishes, you know, and hoping that the next decade will be better than the decade which is ending...

and a woman I know, sent me a note explaining that my mistake was just like the one when people thought that 2000 was the beginning of a millennium when it was actually the end of one, there having been no "zero year"...

HA!

I told her that no calendar was perfect, pointed out that September, October, November, December should be the seventh through tenth months (if you go by their names), but we put up with their being the ninth through twelfth...

my point being that it is all convention.

AND

that 2000 was called the "zero year" by many people.

Good standing up for Cali! I'm a native, and have been through many. Biggest one was in Northridge, in the what, 70's? Knocked me out of bed, I lived in L.A. at the time, close to the San Fernando Valley where that one was centered. That was a bad one. The rest, meh, not so much.

oct 17, 1989. bad one. i even felt that one where i live, and heard it coming to boot. banged my head and everything.

I just came back from eating Thai with my brother and nephew and omg the little dude had on the cutest hat. I so want a Pook Toque! You can roll up the socks in different styles and they're also reversible and it looks like you're wearing sock earflaps. They'd be great for snowboarding at Whistler. http://www.pook.ca http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d121TAubk4

my youngest would so totally wear that.

My big problem with California is that you have to DRIVE everywhere.

I had a super-long commute when I lived there and there was NOTHING along the way, nowhere to stop and take a break except for Jack In The Box.

I'm not a car person anyway.

It would take over 200 posts to get to the next milestone...

Well, lessee... two nights ago I watched "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" with Six. It was not as asinine or awful as I expected. The bad guys were pretty cool, extremely acrobatic. The female star was Jayma Mays, who I've never seen before. When she first appears (in the film) she was wearing a blonde wig, and I thought she was Abby Elliott from SNL. She has the MOST ENORMOUS EYES.

/me raises my hand. I have one. Yeah they are ugly and weird as hell, but damn they do just what the ad says they do. Put my snuggie on, my laptop on my lap and I'm ready for SL.......or a nap depending which comes first. I got them for both me and my hubby and yeah we look cute and old fashioned in them, they are sooooo cuddly. I give up cute for comfy sometimes.
