OMG OMG OMG I'm so excited. I was disappointed after I ordered my new computer because the expected ship date was Dec 31st. I wasn't expecting it until the new year but I just got an email saying it was shipped out today.

YAY! Santa loves me! I thought I was only gonna get coal this year.

Here is a little something to keep you twitching the curtains! My new monitor is here now too so I am what doing what you will be in just a couple of days :D

You might want to take a look at the Destination Guide. I've found some fantastic places through it. This is Natural Island.

If it werent for my Niece & Nephew, I'd totally LOATHE Christmas!!

Just seeing their faces when they open what "Santa" brought them..... LOL!!!

HEH! They're finally hitting the age where they want what they see on TV. Well, my niece anyways. My Nephew just wants toys. Two year olds are easy to please! :)

SO!! Their favorite, and only, Uncle is going to make Xmas that much more fun for them.

Besides, when they're Teens they'll probably avoid their Uncle as being "Un-cool". As usual for kids ;)

But I still have those embarassing Kid Pics if they to be too much. :D

Oh yes...it's great being the aunt or uncle. You can have such fun with them...and lol...then send them home, all wired up, back to their parental units. :D

That's one of my favorite sing-loudly-in-the-car songs!

Or in my case, sing-loudly-and-badly-in-the-car. :p

And in my case, singing loudly even though I only know a handful of the words.

Thanks, though I think I will never be done...

Ouch! Two years ago I was there too. One of my co-workers said, "I wish I was your dentist." I looked at him weird, and he explained, "Cause he's getting all your money!"

Yay for your new monitor!!! I wish there was real time shipping info so I could see how exactly how far it is from the north pole and when it will get to my house.

/me obsessively refreshes the shipment tracking page.

Hope I remember this year. Though I might have missed prior events more because of it being on a Tuesday, or like, while I was at work, instead of forgetting.

Here's the schedule for it:

Monday Dec. 28th 12:00pm-5:00pmPST

Tuesday Dec. 29th 7:00am-12:00pmPST

Wednesday Dec. 30th 5:00pm-11:00pmPST

Locations: Zermatt, Luna, New Port, Zindra (the sim named Zindra, that is)

This is one of my favourite Christmas songs by the Pogues. http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/song/Fairytale+Of+New+York/769253
[/url]

Thanks Josh, I had almost forgot about that one. I love that song, as well as anything else by the Pogues.

Also, for some reason, that caused me to remember this old favorite from John Prine.

"It was Christmas in prison and the food was real good,
we had turkey and pistols carved out of wood."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1uIFs-pNdc

Not really a Christmas song but I thought I'd share it anyway.

It'll be fun! IMO, the best spots likely to be New Port and Luna. Both locations are about a region apart from each other, making for quick access. I won't be doing the Zindra location, but will be hitting the other three. I need to try to beat my personal best from last year: 47 Lindens whacked with snow. :D

Houston, we have FIOS!

The Geek and I spent the weekend moving things around the house, and rewiring computer installations. Then he spent more time muttering and swearing under his breath at the computers while I channel surfed and learned the new TV system.

Somewhere in there, he made the telling comment..."Well, now that we have all this High Definition content, I guess we'll have to get an HD TV."

Once we were up and running (me suffering from almost two days of SL withdrawal), he ran off to NewEgg to research flat screen TVs, while I jumped in world.

Wow, the speed increase is AMAZING.

Now what we need is a winter storm bad enough to close the city, but not bad enough to knock out the power.

/me breezes in for a quick hello and good wishes for the holidays.

All is well here in Elora-land! Work is going fantastic (bonus and raise in hand - WoOt!). This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, I do have to admit. Tonight is our office holiday party and I am the "Secret Santa" present handler lol :D Having our dinner in a tres fancy upscale Cuban restaurant, tapas, cocktails and sit-down dinner - yummy! Plans for the holidays aren't grand since I didn't find out that our office closes down completely (from Xmas Eve until January 4th) until airfares were too high to afford so G and I are keeping close to home for the most part (Xmas at his folks for a couple of days, New Years we're spending in NYC for a few days) - the rest relaxing at home and catching up on some much needed errands and stuff. Trying to get away maybe in March. My house has finally sold too, although there's a bit of a glitch which hopefully we'll manage to get past by negotiating (sellers want us to take up legally/professionally abandoned oil tank underground, which will completely ruin front lawn/driveway, and we see no need for it).

Still not inworld as much as I used to be - but more than I had been. The new laptop has made it far more enjoyable, especially for photos.

And all is lovey with Ghosty and I too :)

Anyhoo - hope all of those here that are my friends are well, healthy (enough). Miss many of you bunches!
