Holy crap, Dakota started a really interesting thread, and then it suddenly turned into a massive flame/drama war... WHILE I WAS READING IT!

Now is a great time to go AFK for an hour or two... and bleach my eyes.

Yeah..that's what happens when a whackadoodle spies a thread like that. Having fun tapping the tank though. :D

So Noir fixed her land buying dilemma and then sat and took a little contemplative rest...

Yeah the forums are pretty weird today.

Is it me, or is like half the threads about kids (or kid-shaped 'bots) in one way or another?

I could have sworn it was "Is it cheating?" week.

They are - and they are also interesting. Unfortunately they are already too long! All the threads are too long today. Maybe I should start a new one. Let's see . . . Should I expect people to give me dog biscuits while I'm in human form? Should I be offended if they do?

I'm back from another week's hiatus and there's just SO much to catch up on. But I also have another RL art show to get ready for. :( But what the heck. A guy's gotta be entertained too.

Lovely pics from everyone.

Looked like it was only a minor stumble, though.

Oh, you reminded me! I was talking to this newbie - really smart girl, picked up on everything super fast - and I gave her some freebie shareable skins and hair and shapes. I said, "The way you're going, you might outgrow these quickly."

So she said, "Why? Does my avatar grow?"

That sounds pretty cool, Amara.

Morning everyone. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Wanted to post this pic. I was pretty happy with how it came out, although it's pretty hard to take a bad picture on an AM Radio sim. Larger version is here http://www.flickr.com/photos/elischlegal/3891859012/sizes/l/

So many great pictures lately. This one has a kind of Andrew Wyeth feel to it...

nice pic, Eli. you'z becoming a fab photographer. :) on a side note, looks like about the same amount of furniture i'll have when i move to my new place.
I lived like that several times in my youth. I always liked the fresh start feel of it. We have so much stuffed into our house now that I have a constant fantasy of rebuilding with a huge basement for all the things so I could get some kind of control over the rooms we live in. I'm with Amara.

Hey Seven , thinking about your trip with your Mom and Sis, I see an episode of Family Ties in my head. Elise, Mallory and Jennifer go on vacation. :)
Lol. I can just see it. There used to be quite a few sitcoms I really liked. It seems as if it's been years since I've seen good ones. Oh wait I loved "Arrested Development" and "Dead Like Me" maybe all the good ones are on premium channels that we don't get.

I love cookies, but there is no way I'd follow one into wet concrete.

The list includes people poking themselves in the eye with biscuits, and falling out of chairs while reaching for a biscuit. Good Grief.
Mmm.. chocolate digestive. You have to go to special British import shops to get them here. I'll take my chances on them any time I get my hands on them.

Why thank you! I made a matching set of earrings- calleg Gear-Rings, what else? And a necklace. The Gear-Rings also revolve. Have a bracelet in the works and made another ring in the same theme, as well.
What a clever idea! And so pretty too.

Thanks! I will admit, I did not know Garth FairChang all that well. We'd only met a time or two, really. I knew him more for his works and story than anything else. still, like I said, it's folks like Garth and Pituca FairChang who are so much the soul of SL. Trailblazers who were here at the beginning and shaped the way this world works. Owners of several regions, as well as land in the old regions like Taber and in Nova Albion, etc., Partners in SL for over *five* years, who eventually took their love story to their first lives.
Not getting out much, I had never heard of them but now, thanks to you, Mari, they have my admiration and gratitude.

I could have sworn it was "Is it cheating?" week.

The 3 day weekend has mucked up the routine. "Is it Cheating" was moved to this Friday and will share the time with "Rent, Buy or is it all Renting." I know it is going to crowd the week, but with the migration of the Xstreet forums we are expecting an influx of "I'm Leaving for Good" posts coming out of rotation.

That sounds like it should be a poll - the kind where you can see who voted which way.

@Amaranthim - nice alt, very cool name!

You would think huh? No, all my alts are very fair, except for AdAstra and she is mostly tanned- even has a few freckles - I will see if she will parade a bit so you guys can meet her :).

BTW- I know it SHOULD ReveNoir like chat noir as opposed to noir chat- but NoirReve was just more lyrical.

Here's a good read, by Pituca, looking into the SL that once was, and the FairChang's part of same.
