what is that super cool looking contraptiony thingy?

It looks like an orrey - it shows the relative positions of the sun, earth, and moon.

I didn't have a clue what they were called, but it made me think of the one in Pitch Black - which is probably the only one I've ever seen lol.

There was one in a place I used to live when I first arrived in SL. I kept trying to do something with it, but only ended up sitting on one of the balls. (I guess cause I wasn't the owner.)

Hey Seven , thinking about your trip with your Mom and Sis, I see an episode of Family Ties in my head. Elise, Mallory and Jennifer go on vacation. :)

The Top Ten Biscuits Of Death!!

dun dun dun!!!

http://www.virginmedia.com/homefamily/fooddrink/deadliest-biscuits.php?ssid=1

From: someone
Who knows whether it’s the crumbs cookies generate or the chocolate chips that make them the second most dangerous biscuit with a rating of 4.34.
Perhaps it’s simply because they’re so very moreish – one man got stuck in wet concrete after trying to retrieve a cookie. Be warned, sometimes you have to leave a biscuit behind.

I love cookies, but there is no way I'd follow one into wet concrete.

The list includes people poking themselves in the eye with biscuits, and falling out of chairs while reaching for a biscuit. Good Grief.

Why thank you! I made a matching set of earrings- calleg Gear-Rings, what else? And a necklace. The Gear-Rings also revolve. Have a bracelet in the works and made another ring in the same theme, as well.

LOLOL that's funny! great weekend, Mari. on a sad note, i'm sorry about your friend. :( *hugs*

Thanks for the report, Mari. I'm so sorry about your friend.

Thanks! I will admit, I did not know Garth FairChang all that well. We'd only met a time or two, really. I knew him more for his works and story than anything else. still, like I said, it's folks like Garth and Pituca FairChang who are so much the soul of SL. Trailblazers who were here at the beginning and shaped the way this world works. Owners of several regions, as well as land in the old regions like Taber and in Nova Albion, etc., Partners in SL for over *five* years, who eventually took their love story to their first lives.

Nice work Mar. :) The Bay City Airport story is excellent, it is something that has annoyed me as well. "Your Dreams of Flight" was excellent! It makes a nice bookend with my "Aviator" story from a few weeks back. I'm going to add a link to your blog on mine.

Thanks! Glad you got some stuff out of the read. I update pretty erratically, and not nearly often enough.

Holy crap, Dakota started a really interesting thread, and then it suddenly turned into a massive flame/drama war... WHILE I WAS READING IT!

Now is a great time to go AFK for an hour or two... and bleach my eyes.
