a friend that is a friend is putting a lot of pressure on me to get a facebook account. i might cave, ugh Oh ,I have a friend who is doing that. She is putting up old pics from college on her page, telling me that so and so is tagging them and saying this and this one put up that picture and so on. I just shrug it off. I'm not interested. She also bugs me because I refuse to answer her text messages with a return text. I call her instead.  _____________________

Not sure what right-wing nut-case said this originally 'cause i did NOT hear it with my own ears- but - I am very sure it cannot possibly be true and thus just kind of makes any of us not behind the current gang's agenda all look like nut-cases too. It is alleged that one of the things in this bill is a euthanasia clause or pill old people can choose to take rather than sit around and wait to die 'cause the health care will be so picky and only young healthy individual will be eligible. I just saw this on TV - Obama had a sort of town-hall meeting, and an old woman called in. She said that someone who had read the entire health-care proposal said that there is a clause in there that says that government employees would come to visit every single person on Medicare to ask them how they wanted to die. Obama said that the only thing that was anything like that was a proposal to simplify making a living will. . huh? Where is Amara's quote from - no can find... _____________________

I read the parts about end of life counseling and how some feared older folks might be steered away from demanding proper care- but nowhere do i see such a ludicrous suggestion as that, that the new health care wd actually hand people suicide pills- i mean come on! No I am not behind anything this crew is bringing out- Frankly i think they have an agenda to undermine what America is about- fine maybe that sounds nuts to some but it sure as hell is a far cry from the Obama administration wants to kill od people. That's just plain stupid and reporting such stuff is irresponsible and makes any one that is not in favor of his policies get painted with the nutter brush. _____________________

Welcome home! How was it? Fun -- but somehow not yet over! Many attendees are now up here in L.A. wrapping things up, and we're booked every night this week for dinner. Fantastic (albeit exhausting) fun! I hope to get down there again soon for a visit... _____________________
